The bright ultra-violet beam of this flashlight has already come in handy. To test this product out, when it was delivered, we aimed it at the interiors of our home bathrooms. This townhouse is 5 1/2 years old and we recently moved in and had a monstrous job in getting it cleaned and sanitized. With this this light to test with we were decidedly disturbed at how many areas showed grime and stains, Yuck! We are almost afraid to use this flashlight in a motel on our next trip to check the sanitary conditions, getting nauseous comes to mind! Yet, we gotta know . . .

easily shows urine stains, shows old stains that might not have been cleaned as well as they could have been, some floor/carpet cleaners/shampoos leave a dye which shows as well

I bought this to find dog urine. I have 5 dogs, all adopted and not so good at house training. Needless to say I can smell their accidents but couldn't always find them. I went thru the entire house and didn't spot a single spot, so I believe I bought a blue flashlight that is not producing enough UV to be of any value. I did notice it was quite bright and since UV is beyond our visual spectrum doesn't seem right to me.They did refund my purchase promptly

Works as advertised and is more powerful than other smaller lights. Takes 6 AA batteries in 2 sets of 3. Good design and will see lots of use with various bikini and lingerie that responds to black light. Most white items will glow brightly though we have several other outfits in a bright green and also in orange and in pink that respond very well. Looking forward to using it on our white sand beach at nightfall. Plan to buy a 2nd one to add light to shots. Good item for the money.

Looked after a friends dog and noticed he was marking some spots. This flashlight was able to identify all stains. If only it could clean it too.

We have 2 older dogs who sometimes have accidents in our house. I had been smelling urine, but I couldn't find the spots as they did not stain the area rugs. When we do find the spots, an enzyme spot solution does work well, but you have to find the spot.Getting this flashlight was genius! I decided to buy this more powerful flashlight, and I am glad that I did. It takes 6 AA batteries and is very sturdy. It has clear directions for putting in the batteries.I was impressed with how powerful the light is. I found the spots as soon as I shined the light on the rugs, and I was then able to treat the spots. I never would have found the spots otherwise.I read the comments before buying the black light and buyers need to know a couple things. First, the room has to be dark to find the spots. It is hard to use in the daylight. Second, wet spots do not show up, so you won't find a current spot. Also, urine looks bright yellow.This is a wonderful tool if you have a leaky animal. I found spots in places I never would have found without the light, and this saved me from smelly rugs.

I am - if I'm being generous - more of an enthusiastic golfer than I am talented. As such, I offer up a fair number of balls to the gods of the woods each round. One day while looking for a ball that was 'right here somewhere' with the friend I was playing with, I mentioned it'd be a lot easier if you had a black light flashlight - if they were even a thing.The next day he texted me 'flashlights are here' and I was confused. He'd found and bought a pair of black flight flashlights after our round and had them overnighted. We went out that night and between the two of us found 265 balls in varying conditions.It was SO EASY to spot them. I even found one partway up a tree, though it had to stay there as it was too high to reach.The next day I ordered my own - this model, with twice as many LED. It's heavier than the 50 LED model, using twice as many batteries, but it has far better range and light spread, which makes searching for golf balls that much easier.Absolutely worth a pickup if you've thought about going out to get some of your golf balls back.

It is a bit larger than I had expected. A bit bulky to pack when traveling.
