Important Thing
Under a UV light, glow in the dark and many fluorescent coloured items emit a bright glow. What they all have in common is that they contain phosphors. A phosphor is any substance that absorbs energy and re-emits it as visible light. Under a black light, phosphors convert the UV radiation they receive into visible light.
- Please confirm whether the batteries( included) with correct polarity are installed correctly.
- The black light UV flashlight will Not fluoresce Wet urine puddles or potty pads.
- It works best in complete dark environment, the darker it is, the better it works.
- For few dark color carpets, the reflected stain color may will be very close to the color of the carpet, making it harder to see.
- Can only spot dried urine stain.

It is a well built metal flashlight. It puts out enough light to be practical. I can stand back 4-6 feet and illuminate an area I want to inspect.

It’s definitely a little light. I was hoping it was larger like the first one I ordered. Guess I didn’t read the size to well. It works as intended. Good product.

This blacklight has been great for scorpion hunting in Arizona. I bought it to replace a much smaller blacklight and I'm not disappointed. It's luminescence is very good, easily spotting the critters from 15 feet.PROS: Priced well for the size. Takes 3 AAAs and so run time is very good. Projects black light pretty far.CONS: Doesn't come with black light poster. Also, I'm thinking that it should be day glo instead of black, given the dark operating environment.BOTTOMLINE: At this price point, I doubt you'll find something that much better.

Use this for a variety of things and never had an issue. Weight is good, shine is good, and durability seems totally up to par. Seems to be pretty good for battery life as well. Overall great product.

Definitely did not detect any urine on my carpets(which I know is there, and the reason for buying this light) I did see dog slobber on my walls that I thought were clean. However some slobber mixed food didn't glow. Overall didn't love this light, but my 3 year old thought is was fun. It does however warm up pretty quickly

The 51 LED's really make a huge difference when using this. I have an old 10LED UV flashlight, and this is so much brighter. Makes it much easier to spot any bio residue.Can also be used on money / passports as well to determine authenticity.

Here’s the skinny:At first I didn’t think it worked at all because all I could see were little fuzz balls glowing on the carpet, but then later I tried it with my blue light blocking glasses (also from amazon) and..umm...it definitely works with them. Discovered that my dog has not just had a few accidents on the dining room rug, but MANY. Great. 😬 Can’t wait to check the basement level where my cats like to hang out! As others stated, it needs to be super dark.Pick up your flashlight and blue light blocking glasses and let the horror show begin....Word to the wise, Buy an enzyme cleaner in advance too. And maybe a pressure washer. Basically we’ve now spent 350$ through this discovery. lol

I saw someone on a youtube gardening channel using this to catch tomato hornworms, and I thought that was a fun and organic way to control those little boogers. They really do fluoresce obviously when under the flashlight at night. The tomato plant just reflects the purple light, but the hornworms glow greenish kind of like glow in the dark paint. Hold it back to increase the portion of plant covered by the light, check your plant from multiple angles, and you're sure to find them even when they are small. It's exciting for my small child to go "hunting" with me at night. The damage you'll save to your tomatoes will be worth the money.This was also very useful in proving to my husband that it is, in fact, necessary to clean the walls in the bathroom. ;DIt's made of metal and feels pretty sturdy. I think it's probably durable because a seed head tickled my arm once while on a bug hunt and I freaked out and ended up banging it on a retaining wall and it was fine. lol... It also has a nice broad grouping of LEDs so you're not trying to follow a pinpoint of purple light.

This product works really well with UV Resin! 5 sec and it hardens my doming pieces fast enough to move them to my uv lamp.It's a big part of my work flow!!! It allows me to work fast and move to the next piece. I haven't tried fully curing my resin pieces with this flash light because I'm too lazy but I have no doubt that this product will fully cure UV resin pieces.It's the perfect size, well built, strong uv light and inexpensive. I love it! I'm going to buy another one for my bf (he keeps using it!) and recommend this product to the UV Resin Group.

I have never owned a product that I was so pleased with and equally disgusted at the same time. Let me start by telling you, I am a neat person, and my wife is neater than I am. We are not "neat freaks" but if we would ever have un unexpected vistor, or the pop in visit from family our house always looks nice. We got a puppy not too long ago, and he has had an accident or two. I wanted to have a good UV light to make sure I did not miss anything. Lets put it this way, If you DON'T WANT to know how dirty your surroundings really are, I recommend NOT to purchase this light.HOWEVER, if you would like to know, what areas need some more soap and elbow grease, you might find this light extremely helpful!Not only does this light show pet pee spots, but it also shows any other areas that might have been missed during cleaning. We are not the original owners, but I believe the carpet may be the original carpet. I know the people we bought the house from, and they did have a little dog, and after using this light, I believe there has been dogs in the house since it was built ! When we used this light for the very first time, we were impressed on the packaging and the quality of the flashlight. It is solid and feels well made in my hand. The battery compartment is a little different. Be very careful to install the batteries correctly, they go in in odd directions. As far as battery life is concerned, I'm pleased there too. We haven't had to change them yet, and this thing has seen many hours of use since it arrived. The absolute horror we felt when we found urine spots EVERYWHERE! Truly disgusting. I won't even mention the bathrooms!Despite what I found in my house, I do love this light, specifically because I am bit of a germ-a-phobe, and I love finding all the areas that I missed!I really thought I had a pretty clean house - hardly anything is. Stains you can't really see if at all with regular lighting will glow like a crime scene with this Black Light LED. Clean your kitchen then point this thing around your stove, vent hood, microwave, refrigerator door, floor, around the sink, back-splashes, bottoms of the cupboards, etc. Clean your bathroom and then use this to check around your toilet, walls, the floor..... scary If you can handle the truth, you should get this light, I do give it 2 thumbs up as to the quality and how effective the light is, the cleaniness of my house? Thats another story....

We have an older male cat who started occasionally peeing around the house a while ago. I just didn't trust that the Nature's Miracle and paper towels were getting everything. And while I also Swiffer (and occasionally mopbot) my floors, I don't want any urine to transfer to the Swiffer head or the mopbot.In the past I had purchased a small black light flashlight, but it was completely useless, so I was a bit leery looking at the black light flashlight offerings on Amazon this time. However reassured by the reviews for this one, I ordered it.It just arrived.I anxiously put the 3 AA batteries in, and turned it on.OH...MY...GOD.I am so glad that I got this flashlight.I am so sorry that I got this flashlight.:-)Yeah, it works *really* well.
