I've had this dock for two years and it has yet to fail me once. I've made extensive use of the ethernet port, all the display ports, all the usb ports, the headphone jack, and the sata m.2 slot, all work great. Docking station can also be used to connect two different devices to displays at once due to it having two separate usb c ports with different hdmi ports assigned.

I got this for my work laptop. Wish I didn't. I can only get one monitor to work with the USB-C (single cable not double) connected to host one. When plugging in USBs I found that none of them work. The ethernet port also doesn't work. I figured its not getting enough power. My laptop doesn't use a USB-C style charger so I bought a 65w plug to power the station. Blue light turns on, but nothing works. This unit has potential but not when none of the ports work.Update: I figured out my problem. You will need to run a usb cable from both "host" ports in the back. Running just host 1 only provides HDMI 1. Nothing else. A cable from host 2 to the laptop will allow HDMI 2, all USB ports, and the ethernet port. When buying this know that you will have to have two usb cables to run two monitors. (I am running one cable that's USB-C on both ends and another that's USB-C to USB-A as my laptop only has one usb-c port and that seems to work well) I have upgraded my review from a two star to a four star as the manual that came with it could have pointed it out a little better. You also do not need to power it on with a cable running to the wall.

After I purchased this product it worked fine for about a year. Then suddenly it no longer managed to pass through the audio signal, and no longer recognized any USB devices such as a webcam or wireless keyboard. Whatever I try, from driver updates to reinstalling, nothing helps. When I contacted Mokin, they said they do not have access to order information from Amazon outside the US and therefor will not give me ANY sort of support. So now I have a malfunctioning product and a manufacturer who doesn't care about it.If Mokin can't support their products outside the US then they should not be selling it outside the US. This is extremely disappointing.

Not plug and play for Windows computers. Don't buy if you are trying for any general windows computer. Has to be on their list but even then still some don't work. I would not recommend.

Our company has gone through many docking over the past years. We have used almost every dell dock for our Windows environment. Since we have both Windows and Mac the Mokin product has been the best so far.Its price is great and its build quality is phenomenal. We are able to connect two external monitors along with the laptop. This has also been the only product that truly outlast and outperformed the Tobenone docks when it comes to our Mac environment. Our Marketing team loved the resolution performance Mokin gives. We found that if you connect the single type-c connector directly to the laptop. You will need to use HDMI 2 & 3 to connect your monitor outputs. The same goes for the Mac environment when using dual type-c connectors.

Have used this for well over a year on both Windows and MacOS laptops and it's great for those of us with lots of peripherals. Here's a few undocumented tips...The device has 2 host ports, both of which are used for a Mac, but only one is used for a Windows laptop and you need to be connecting to the 'Host 2' port to get all the display outputs to work at the same time. The M.2 SSD slot only supports SATA-protocol drives (eg. Samsung 800-series), NOT the much faster NVME drives (eg. any of the Samsung 900-series). Transfer rates observed in sequential reads/writes is around 240MB/sec, which is OK for my purposes but may be a little slow slow for some applications such as gaming. However, although the product description says the SSD interface is limited to 2TB drives, I have installed and used 4TB SATA drives and completely filled them several times over without data loss of any kind.I don't know why 'Thunderbolt 3' is mentioned in the product description as the product has no Thunderbolt ports at all, but it has proven to be a very good and reliable USB-C 3.2 product.

It needs 2 adjacent USB-C ports like your macbook pro has and without that it's not going to work out. It's superbly flexible for coordinating monitors, hardwired networking, data cards and an SSD backup drive in a compact enclosure.Data transfer rates are superb. It's the finest peripheral of it's type I've found and far superior to the cheap dongles.

The Ethernet port worked as advertised, however, I could not get any of the USB ports to accept a USB plug. I tried all three with two different devices. The plug would not seat all the way. Hopefully for MOKiN this is a one-off problem.
