Put the thermometer in and after a day the screen fogged up and will not clear.

Broke first time when I inserted it into the soil, when I pulled it up the probe dislocated - too bad I didn't try it while I could return it so now I'm stuck with a broken expensive trinket. It looked like it's working fine, but why so flimsy :(

I have nothing to verify the accuracy of the thermometer. Large, easy to read face. Appears accurate as I move it around to different spots in my lawn and the temp changes. I would buy it again.

This hand thermometer works well to tell you the temperature of your soil. The only drawback is that it doesn’t have an on off switch, which allows you to turn it on in order to get an instant reading like you get with food thermometers.
