I've used moisture meters for years and yes they do wear out but never after 6 weeks!

This works so good. I kill everything I’ve got in plants because I either overwater it, but this has helped me so much. It works great. I recommend you buying this.

One unit's switch sometimes needs a little "help" to read the moisture setting. Not sure if there's a loose lead or if the switch is just a tad offset inside the housing, but they still work.Woulda been a solid 5 for price apart from the one needing the help.

As expected. Convenient and useful. The dual package price made it a really good value.I bought these to replace my old one that was exactly the same.Word of warning... These do not do well if inserted and just left in the ground year round. My old ones rusted and were corroded extensively. They seemed to do well at first, but when I pulled them out the next year, I realized the mistake. Leave in for just the growing season at your own risk, but they will likely last longer if inserted when needed rather than just left in the gound.

When checking the PH and light function the needle never moves so do not purchase if you need those functions to work or at least it does not work for me or several other reviewers.

I bought this to check my tomato seedlings for light, water and pH, but it only seems to work for moisture. The dial is too difficult to read for light and the pH reading seems to remain the same, regardless of where I put it.

These work decent and are economical. They all read apx. the same between them. I've had these for a good while now and they have not failed. I do wipe them down after each use. I use these primarily for the moisture sensing. I would have to test them against a chemical kit before trusting the PH. The light meters do seem to be fairly accurate. Yes it takes a lot of light to move the needles but that's light. Your indoor lights are probably not all that powerful. Sunlight is extremely strong. Think of sunlight like a giant car sized boulder and your indoor lights like a hand sized rock. I added that here because most folks are not aware of light power levels. I had to research it myself. Regards.

Great price given the intent of use. I am skeptical of PH meters no matter how much I pay. I have great success using PH Down to regulate my soil PH however, each and every soil meter indicates the same neutral PH +/- 0.5 without regard to actual soil PH. Use and care of this product implies sensitive indications not necessarily accurate readings ("Come On"). Your science is credible, the product just doesn't function.
