This product was fine during the summer and spring, but cracked this winter and it is supposed to be freeze proof. I am reading it a zero because a rain gauge that leaks is useless.

Works great, looks good, good value and easy to read. It accurately measured the rain we got from the recent tropical storm. We put it in the ground and also in a planted pot outside. It’s super easy to use. Would recommend.

Update, it is now December here in Wisconsin. Last year, I lost my last rain gauge to forgetfulness of freezing temps and intended to bring this one inside before it suffers a similar fate. Of course I forgot, and it has been in the low teens *F overnight the last few nights. I went out to grab the mail and remembered the rain gauge is still out, and of course there's over an inch of water in it. It is frozen solid, and didn't crack! Hooray!It is an attractive design, doesn't look tacky, and easy to empty. It can be easily wall mounted with a screw, or stab the stakes into the ground to collect rain. The threads on the stake that screw into each other look like they're going to rust quickly in this summer humidity. At least this rain gauge didn't break the bank, and I'm satisfied with it.

Although the stake that holds this is kinda flimsy ,It holds well with all the rain we have had over last 3 days . I especially like easy to pick up & dump , I keep it in the top of a pot at the side of our drive so it’s in fairly open area to get accurate readings . Super easy to clean .
