A couple of years ago we purchased a different model from the same company that worked great, but the hoses deteriorated. We ended up using the hoses that came with this and attached them to the old unit.So the issue is the new design.

I’m quite impressed with this vacuum. We’ve had our pool for 3 years and previously used a Polaris vacuum that is propelled by forced pressure and our pool was never clean. This vacuum uses the pump’s suction power and our pool has never been cleaner! It was easy to set up, easy to remove while swimming, and has held up well in the summer heat and constant use. The price point is unbeatable for such an effective vacuum. My only regret is not buying this sooner!
