Works just as good if not better than the more expensive ones. It doesn’t climb walls, but it cleans the bottom Of the pool fantastically. Well worth the money!

Cleans pool bottom very well. My pool has many trees and flowering bushes around it which causes leaves and flowers to end up floating around and ending up on the bottom. The Lady Bug eats them up in no time.

I had been debating on purchasing this for my pool, due to the mixed reviews. How can some people say it's great and others say it doesn't work? I finally bought it, so here is a very detailed review of the pros and cons and reasons it may not work properly for some. The pros-I have an oval 15 x 26 foot above ground pool, I don't have a deck so when I need to vacuum I have to get into the pool to do so, this product allows me to vacuum the entire pool without getting wet! It takes about 45 minutes to clean the entire pool floor, but does a great job sucking up dirt, pine needles, small leaves and dead bugs. It even cleans the seem of the pool liner where dirt collects, and on the liner wrinkles. It gets the floor of the pool squeaky clean. Now the cons-when I bought it I thought I could just put it in the pool and let it go do it's thing. Nope, I have to keep an eye on it because it gets hung up and stuck in certain areas of my pool. First the hose it's nice and long, BUT when it is filled with water and suction it is very heavy, which influences the pattern the bug runs on the pool floor. Sometimes when it is at the far end of my pool and the hose is completely straightened out-the bug gets stuck at the pool wall. Now there is a ring on the outside of the bug that spins to help it get away from the pool wall once it makes contact, for some reason this doesn't work at the far end of my pool, I think because the hose is heavier then the unit, OR because my pool is oval and not round? when this happens I gently grasp the hose coming out of the bug and turn the bug, and off it goes...it also might be because where the pool floor and walls meet it is not a perfect right angle, but it is curved, this may prevent the ring from helping it spin free of the wall. It also gets stuck on the rug that is under the pool stairs (protects the liner) again a gentle nudge or turn and it is off vacuuming away. I think the main problem people have is with the hose, you don't want it to get all curled up when the unit is running or it has a tendency not to move or just spin in circles because the weight of the hose coiled above it keeps it in place and doesn't allow it to move. When this happens again I gently grasp the hose and unfurl it or guide the bug into the middle of the pool to uncoil the hose. In the directions it tells you to adjust the water flow into the pool when the unit is in use. This is very important! Otherwise the water flow will keep knocking the unit around, causing it to float and not do the job it's supposed to. The hose comes in sections, I think 10 or 12? And each time you use the little bug you have to put the hose together, when your finished you must take it apart and store the sections so they are straight-kind of a pain in the butt. If you leave it together and store it coiled up this is just going to add to your frustration when using it because the hose will coil more often. It does move slow, this is not a fast moving unit so it takes some time to clean your entire pool floor. Overall I am glad I bought it, I can vacuum the entire pool myself without getting in, and it does have great suction it just needs a babysitter when in use.

I ordered this at the end of pool season last year and it was not delivered until after the pool was closed up for the winter. We hooked it up for the first time this pool season and it worked for about the first month and now when you hook it up it starts going, but when you come back the vacuum is just sitting in one place and it has not vacuumed the pool at all. I have seen that this is a normal problem with this vacuum but no one offers a fix for it. I do not recommend this vacuum at all. It was a waste of money and I cannot return it because I have had it for so long.

We purchased one several years ago. We were having problems this year, so we went and purchased another one. Come to find out it was not the vacuum. We were the problem. We decided to keep the new one if our original ever decides to stop working.... Which I doubt. It does a great job for our above ground pool.

I am finding above-ground pool maintenance to be much simpler than in-ground pool maintenance. With this cleaner in the pool, I can maintain a ready-to-swim pool without touching it for several days. It works great.Coupla important notes - Ensure adequate hose length to extend cleaning capability to farthest reaches of pool. Be sure to keep the rear intake screen clear to enable proper cleaning pattern.

Our pool was on the verge of "emptying and starting again" and we threw the bug in and by morning, the pool floor was clear and the water was ready for chemical and by 24 hours later, it was perfect! Easy installation and you're on your way. It took forever to ship, longer than Prime suggested, but otherwise it was a great experience.

The hoses do NOT go together easy, my elbow and shoulder were killing me after putting them together, and you have to take them apart after each use. Also a PITA to store the hoses. Still, it works and it is a crap ton cheaper than robotic vacuums, and a crap ton easier than manual vacuuming.
