Don’t buy this unless you’re 100% sure this is what you need/want because you can’t return it or get a refund because of Hazardous materials in the product, although it came delivered a regular cardboard box. read the entire product listing carefully

Have more than one, only the one in the master bedroom ten feet from the shower area had the problem. In high humidity, shower steam, heating steam release causes false alarm may not reset.

This unit is one of only a few detectors which detect both types of fires and CO2 very accurately AND has a 10 yr battery. Detector sensors only last 10 years so it is a no brainer. very easy to install.

Test reviews rated it tops for quick reaction time sensitivity to flaming and smoldering fires plus CO. Goes 10 years without a battery change at which time you replace the whole unit which is as long as the electronic components of these devices last. Two screws to mount the base. Screw it in not up!

I've had this for almost a year. I won't lie, I didn't test it weekly, which I should have. Nevertheless, I did test it today because the other day it turned on out the blue, yet there was not smoke or anything (my other alarm didn't turn out and it's right next to this one). So I figured, let me check it out. I pressed the "test" button, and the first part worked (the smoke detector) but then it just kept beeping and beeping (the red lights didn't go on either). I pressed the button again to shut it off...nothing. Took me 10 minutes to shut it up.Now, naturally I thought I did something wrong. So I read the instructions and tried it again. Same thing happened. Good for nothing. I wouldn't purchase from them again.

I got tired of replacing the 9-volt batteries in my smoke alarms and then just happened to read the reviews on this device. In addition to having a ten-year, tamper proof permanent battery, it provides warnings for smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide, meeting all modern code requirements. You can't go installing these on all floors in your home.
