My family just got a new travel trailer and when we took it out for the first time, we ran through way more water than expected. Which was ok, because we had a water hook up, but not ok because we filled up our grey water tank way quicker then we thought. So this is being used to see how much water we actually consume in a normal camping day. It's made us realize if we don't get a sewer site that we need to take shorter showers, and be smarter about washing our dishes. It's also helped us make sure when we fill up the water in the trailer that we get max capacity without going over.

These are a wonderful tool to have. I specifically use these in the RV world when we fill our fresh water tank. I can measure the gallons going in, and when we refill – I know how much water was used… just like keeping track of your fuel mileage when filling your gas tank. I also have one attached to my black tank flush. This allows me to know how much water I am using to flush the tank and it also shows the flow so I know for a fact the flush is working and there are no restrictions on the nozzle inside the tank. This is also a great way of treating the tank as well and I add about 3-4 gallons of fresh water to the tank before treating it. I find it easier than guessing the amount of water I am flushing down the toilet to treat the tank.My only complaint is after a day of constant rain, there is condensation on the inside of the screen. This happened to my previous flow meter made by a different brand causing it to fail – which is why I have these new ones. I guess it’s my fault for leaving it hooked up but I really wish they were waterproof. It’s inconvenient having to remove the device after using it every time considering it’s a hose attachment. It would be great if they at least made a cover that snaps into place to waterproof and protect from UV sunlight.

Both meters have broken clean off at the base of the brass fitting. Not repairable. I had these connected at the house valve. The weight of the hose moving sideways a little bit snapped this meter like a potato chip. I was not aggressive or uncaring to cause this failure. I'm past the 30 day return and there is no customer support. Waste of money. I wish this didn’t break because the meter function actually worked very well. The only way to use these is to secure the garden hose close to the meter so there is NO stress on the meter.

It came with some adapters but connected fine right out of the box. The round battery was included. There is a little water leakage around the black tank connection but nothing major. I wanted to flush the tank well before storing the RV for winter and knowing how much water I had put in saved a lot of time. All in all, it's a nice addition to my black tank supplies.

I use these for adding water to my fresh water tank on my trailer. I also use it for cleaning the gray and black water tanks by flushing them from the outside. As soon as I open the water line, it will count the gallons per minute. Excellent!

We just purchased a new Class C RV. My husband wanted to get this water flow meter so we can watch our water levels when filling the water tank before traveling. It is also useful if you are staying at a camping park and you are not used to their water pressure when refilling your tanks for the return trip home. The digital meter readout is easy to see and this flow meter was easy to install on our fresh water hose. The connections are brass so I expect they will not corrode and last a long time. It has a filter that can be removed and washed out so you don't get any sediment accumulating in your fresh water tanks. This is a quality made item for our RV and I am happy I ordered it. Highly recommended!
