Works good and does what it’s supposed to. Only wish the clip was a bit tighter on it. It can slide around on you if you’re carrying it on the lamp. But if you’re not moving it, it works good.

I wasn't too sure they would really help intensify the light from the lantern, but they did! I like the UCO lanterns. I have two of the style that hold 3 candles so I bought two reflectors for each. The lanterns came in very handy during several very cold winter days (down to 17 degrees). Not only did they give off brighter lighting but lots of HEAT too. So that was an added plus. If you have UCO lanterns you need to get these reflectors. I am very happy with my purchase!

I've used UCO products since the late 80's, early 90's (it's been a long time and the memory bank isn't as bright as it once was in my timeline) using these collapsible lanterns whether or not I was camping, or surviving. I first came across their well thought out variation of a candle lantern which I'd use regularly on scouting trips, standalone camping, or even to read by in the tent. Hanging it by the attached hook chain or sitting atop a flat surface with the reflector attached as needed. I'd carry several candles with me (two is one, one is none mentality) and depending on noise and light discipline, I may have one or a few lit with a top deflector to block light escaping above, or adding the reflector to throw more light in front of me. These lanterns are built to last, easy to maintain, lightweight, and there are various adaptations available in aftermarket such as an oil lamp if you don't want to burn wax candles of similar dimension. I use a clean burning lantern oil so as to keep the glass soot free, allowing for more of an even and better reflected throw. They fit collapsed in a cargo pocket (although I wouldn't carry it there in the event of a fall), and can easily be set up in less than a minute with the reflector attached. They function similar to a hurricane lamp (ask me how I know) with the oil adaptation, or put off a sweet honey or citronella scent when burning those type of candles, and throw enough light with the reflector attached so you don't need to carry extra batteries for that torch, wasting a precious and powerful source of light wastefully. My only reason for not giving five stars is due to the reflector not being designed to collapse or fold up to a smaller dimension for less bulky storage.

The back reflector works well, since the UCO lantern spring pushes the candle up into the concave mirror this reflector actually is. I have used small cans, cut and shaped to reflect the light, but this works pretty well. It does hang and can swing a bit. Bulldog paper clip time.

This is very handy. When you put it on the lantern it put out a good beam of light for what it is. It would be better if you could firmly attach it on and not just hang on the side. But it does its job very well thanks heaps guys.

Great addition to my candle lantern! Worth the money. I also used car wax to make it more reflective and it shines a little brighter :-)

I've used this reflector on regular, original UCO candle lanterns, and also on the mini and micro lanterns. It does focus the light in one direction, as expected, but also increases the light brightness somewhat. You can actually read by a lantern using this reflector, but you have to have the lantern and the book carefully positioned to make best use of the light. I polished my reflector with metal polish, and that seemed to increase the efficiency quite a bit. I made a drawstring pouch out of t-shirt material to protect the reflector from dirt and scratches, so it's always working at top performance. These reflectors don't clip to the lantern, but hang loosely, so you have to be a little careful when moving the lantern that you don't knock the reflector off. Overall, I think this reflector makes the lantern more useful, and I would recommend it to anyone who uses one of the UCO lanterns during power outages, camping, or emergency situations. I will end up buying more of these, so I can keep one with each lantern.

I am pleasantly surprised! Usually things like this are worthless and offer no added benefit. But WOW, this little guy actually worked! Now, does it cast a blinding beam of light hundreds of feet into the darkness of the night? No, of course it does not. But, does it refocus a decent little beam in one direction enough to see a fair deal better in that direction and a little further? Yes, indeed it does! It is quite simple to use too, just hang it on the edge of the top of the candle lantern. Yes, it just hangs there and its a little floppy, but that's ok, its a reflector...for a candle lantern, just be steady with it and it is fine. I don't think this will be a go to item or something that I will likely use constantly, but I think it is worth the money and will indeed be happy to have it when I do need it. Will likely buy more.
