  • Embedded fiberglass stringer is a component of a bodyboard that is designed to provide additional strength and flexibility to the board's core. It is made of fiberglass and is incorporated into the board during the manufacturing process. The stringer helps to distribute the rider's weight evenly across the board, making it easier to navigate through the waves. It also helps to prevent the board from flexing too much, which can cause it to break.
  • Crescent tail is a tail shape commonly used in bodyboarding that is designed to provide better control and maneuverability in a variety of wave conditions. The crescent shape reduces the amount of contact between the board and the wave face, allowing the rider to maintain more control and fluidity while navigating through the water. This is especially helpful in barreling, close-out, or shore break conditions where the waves are more powerful and unpredictable.
  • Coil leash is a type of wrist leash that is commonly used in bodyboarding. The leash is attached to a plug on the board and is worn around the rider's wrist. The coil design of the leash helps to reduce drag and minimize the risk of entanglement with other surfers or underwater obstacles. The leash is an important safety feature that keeps the rider connected to their board at all times, even in the event of a wipeout.

MOREY BODYBOARD'S

  • The modern bodyboard has its origins in California, USA, specifically at Doheny State Beach. In 1971, Tom Morey was watching some young kids surfing on polyethylene foam logs that were held together with PVC pipe. Morey was inspired by their creativity and saw an opportunity to create a new type of surfboard that would be more accessible to a wider range of people.
  • Over the years, Morey has worked tirelessly to perfect the bodyboard, experimenting with different materials and designs to achieve the optimal combination of speed, maneuverability, and durability. Today, the bodyboard is a popular choice for surfers of all ages and skill levels, and is widely recognized as a legitimate form of wave riding in its own right.
  • Despite its humble beginnings, the bodyboard has come a long way since Tom Morey first watched those kids surfing on foam logs at Doheny State Beach. Thanks to the dedication and innovation of Morey and other pioneers in the sport, the bodyboard has become a beloved and respected fixture of the surfing world.

Bought this for my 13 year old son. He really enjoyed using it in the Atlantic Ocean. Best part is that he didn’t get any rashes from this board rubbing his stomach and chest like you get with the cheap ones.

We purchased these boards for our sons for Christmas last year. After about 4 uses one of the boards bubbled up and the foam top started bubbling off the board. We wrote to Amazon, who referred us to the seller. The seller said to set up the warrantee and they would issue us new boards. At first we were very pleased with the level of customer service. What happened next was very disappointing. They issued us a statement saying they would send us a new board as this was an isolated incident. We were very pleased and wrote a good review as they instructed/requested. It has been months and we have not heard from them since or received the new board. Buyer beware!

My 10 and 12 year olds love the boards and are able to stand up on them and surf a wave on a local river. Only issue is the outer layer has an air bubble that goes away when the board cools off.

You are not going to get a better board for this price range period. I read some complaints of durability, but take care of these boards and you will be fine.

Say, thus item was a huge letdown as i expected this brand to be of high quality. My child used this in the pool and it started to bubble up after a week. It was not even kept outside in the sun or left in the water, it was to precious to my kiddo! It slept in the bedroom, always wiped down. It never made it to the beach, we had to buy a new one elsewhere, at half the price, and that's still perfect after about a month of use, almost daily in the pool and several beach outings!Anyway, sent back and got refunded.

Disappointed with the quality of these boards. Didn’t expect these to be pro body boards, but for $60+ I expected them to be decent . Bought two of them, both delaminated/bubbled the FIRST day we used them. Save yourself $20-30 and buy the knockoff or no name brand on Amazon/Costco/Walmart. You will not be getting any better quality buying the “Morey” name. Otherwise the boards themselves are okay, but I was immediately surprised by how lightweight/cheap they felt given my experience with Morey boards in the past. Spend the money for the high end board or buy a cheap one. Don’t waste money on these.
