Wasn’t sure, but without having used it yet it looks decent. You wouldn’t put this on a showy $800 rod (least I wouldn’t), but for my low-end 2wt rod to hold line it seems like a solid buy.

Here's the truth: this is an outstanding reel for the pricepoint. It is smooth as butter, the drag is relatively precise and adjust well. If you are freshwater fishing/trout fishing, this is all you need. Honestly, this is probably what a lot of the the big name companies are using, throwing a powder coat paint job on, and selling for 5x the price. It's also great that you can buy spare spools at $20 a pop. I'm a very happy customer.
