The world's first multiple tapped, fluid-filled, metal can, motor-run capacitor, which eliminates the need to inventory more than 200 individual single or dual value capacitors with a voltage rating up to 440 VAC. The Turbo 200 capacitor has a combined total of 67. 5 microfarads (mfd), with taps at 2. 5mfd, 5. 0mfd, another 5. 0mfd, 10. 0mfd, 20. 0mfd and 25. 0mfd. Each part comes individually boxed, including 5 jumper wires. The Turbo 200 is manufactured using AmRad Engineering's patented Ultramet capacitor technology, which allows a metallized film capacitor to be "tapped" with a built-in common or ground connection and eliminates the necessity of separate capacitors or of packaging two or more capacitors in one can. For the Turbo 200, six capacitors are produced from a single, continuous, winding.

Product installed as directed and problem solved. AC is working perfectly, stating faster and quieter than before, and second stage starting perfectly. This coupled with the hard start kit has my unit working perfectly. I would recommend this product!

Used one to replace a bad capacitor in a very old unit last year, still holding strong, perfect instructions. If you are at all handy, just get one of these. Turn off the ac unit at the breaker, replace it yourself, and buy nice bottle of bourbon with the money you saved... Or maybe that's just me.

just a few weeks ago I had problems with my AC, and had to call a company out to check. After waiting over weekend for a Monday service call, I was ready for it to be cool in my house. AC company came, and stated a drain line was needed to be unclogged. I paid them around $300 to do this, knowing I could’ve done it myself, but wanting the air to work ASAP, I let them unclog the drain line since they were there. Well a week later, warm air is blowing from my vents, and I didn’t want to spend anymore money on service calls. Diagnosed my problem to be a faulty capacitor, ordered before I went to bed, and arrived a little before dinner time the next day…..this part saved me so much money. Thank you.

This is one of the most expensive capacitors on the market and it failed in two weeks.

21 years ago my AC died and I had to call for service. I was a new homeowner then and much less handy than I am now. It took 3 days for the fellow to come out and by the I really no longer needed the AC! He spent literally 20 minutes on the repair and handed me a bill for $400 ('m sure it's much more in today's dollars). The bill stated "replaced capacitor". I pulled the part that he put in the trash out and it was this capacitor. It looked like a very simple install so I ordered one of these for $26 and put it away. Yesterday my AC wouldn't start. The thermostat was fine but I replaced the batteries anyway and the outdoor wiring looked good. The wire connections looked clean and snug. I replaced the 21 year old capacitor with the backup I purchased 21 years ago and my AC was fixed in 45 minutes. The Chinese junk on Amazon will not last at all. Why do the job 5 times when you can do the job once!

Having Turbo capacitors on hand has been an absolute lifesaver for me, especially considering the multiple air conditioning units I have to maintain across both my primary home and office. While I could certainly stock specific capacitors for each of the seven units, the fact that they all have different values makes it a logistical nightmare. That's where the Turbo capacitors truly shine.Having a few Turbo capacitors readily available has simplified my life immensely. It's like having a versatile toolkit that can handle a variety of needs, rather than lugging around a dozen specific capacitors. This not only saves space but also reduces the likelihood of confusion and errors when dealing with different units. The convenience of being able to quickly swap in a Turbo capacitor when one of my AC units fails has saved me time, money, and stress. It's a straightforward solution that ensures I'm always prepared to address capacitor-related issues without the headache of keeping multiple values in stock. For anyone with multiple air conditioning units to manage, I wholeheartedly recommend keeping a few Turbo capacitors on hand. They're a versatile and practical choice that simplifies maintenance and ensures you're ready for any capacitor-related hiccup that comes your way.

For under $100, I will replace myself my home air conditioning system's capacitator, while the HVAC company was going to charge me $370 plus taxes. I asked the technician to show me what needed to be replaced and how much it would cost me. Once he showed me this exact capacitator, a quick check on Amazon.ca revealed that this item was less than $100 and would take about 5 minutes to replace. No, I do not want to pay $300 more just for the fun of it! Same 5-year warranty as offered by the HVAC company, so nothing lost!
