Living in Florida AC is a must and during the summer we put a real hurting on these units. Mine is 9 years old so expect things to break on it. My luck there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to replace these capacitors. Not going to go in details, but my capacitor went bad and this model came up as recommended so I figured for the price why not. To my surprise with my prime subscription I was getting overnight shipping and it would be delivered between 4 and 8 am. Low and behold it was actually delivered that early. Somewhat feel bad for making the girl come out so early since I wouldn't install it till I got up and it was light outside. In any case it took me about 5 min to install this and my AC was up and running blowing cold air again. So far it had been a day and no issues. For me this was a good value and well worth it. Just remember to take pictures to remember where all the wires go.

I live in SWFL. It's warm here a lot of the time. Really warm. Two years ago, I had my HVAC unit's capacitor die on a Saturday afternoon in July. The closest replacement cap I could find was at an ACE Hardware twenty miles away. I'm fine, but overheated wife was getting more miserable by the minute, so off I go to buy the only 45/5 cap available on Saturday in the county. Ninety minutes later, our Goodman unit was once again blowing that sweet, cold air.Not wanting to be caught without a spare capacitor again, I bought this one on Amazon and put it on the shelf in the garage. Fast forward two years to today. It's just after five o'clock and I'm walking into the house after doing some maintenance on the sailboat motor, not a pleasant place in this heat. It's 95 degrees in the Florida sunshine and as I walk past the thermostat in the living room, I notice that it's a few degrees over the setpoint. No, that never happens, so I walk outside and place my hand over the condenser fan. The air blowing from the fan.......It's not hot. I can't hear the compresor running, either. Wife hasn't even noticed yet, but I know the A/C is broken.Checked the garage and this capacitor was just where I put it two years ago. I killed the power to the unit, discharged the old cap, swapped out the leads and secured the new one in place. Ten minutes max. Flipped the breaker, waited a few minutes and heard the lovely sound of our compressor kicking on....... and now I'm a hero. I tested the old cap, and the 45 side tested out at 40. The fan side was solid at 5. In the trash it goes.I'm back here at Amazon to buy another one to sit on that vacant place on the garage shelf. The one I bought from ACE only lasted two years. Hopefully, this one will last longer. If you know what you're doing, this part it the one most likely to fail and probably the easiest part to replace on your A/C unit. This part, purchased two years ago, probably saved us a $300 service call to replace that part.If you don't know what you're doing, trust me, you can get a nasty shock from these things. Call a service tech.

Bought this capacitor to replace one that had blown on my exterior AC unit. Worked well with no issues at all. Very impressed with the price and quality of the unit.

I couldn't believe my luck when my air conditioner suddenly stopped blowing cold air during the hottest week of the year. Frustrated and desperate, I turned to online forums and stumbled upon a possible solution: a faulty capacitor. After some thorough research, I decided to give the BOJACK 45+5 uF Dual Run Circular Start Capacitor a shot – and boy, am I glad I did!Matching the specs with my old capacitor and cross-referencing with the product details, I hit the order button with a mix of anticipation and skepticism. But as soon as I installed the BOJACK capacitor and fired up the AC, I was met with a rush of cool air that instantly reassured me that I had made the right choice. The 45/5 MFD capacity was an exact match for my old capacitor, and the ±6% tolerance gave me the confidence that this was a quality replacement. The installation process was a breeze, even for someone like me who's not the most DIY-savvy. The clear labeling and instructions made the swap a straightforward task.Within moments, my air conditioner roared to life, and cold air started flowing through my home once again. It was like a breath of relief in the midst of a sweltering heatwave. The 370V/440VAC rating assured me that it could handle the demanding workload, and it did so with grace. The BOJACK capacitor truly saved the day – and my sanity – by bringing my AC back to life. This little powerhouse proved that sometimes, all it takes is a high-quality component to solve a big problem. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't hesitate to give the BOJACK 45+5 uF Dual Run Circular Start Capacitor a shot.
