Round capacitor can be used to substitute oval shape one with the
same MFD AND Volt specs.A 440 volt capacitor can be used in place
of a 370 volt, as it is build better, but the 370 can’t be used in place
of a 440 volt.

Good price. Works good so far. Saved a ton of money putting this and a new fan motor on myself. Wasn't hard at all. About 30 minutes taking my time. This and the fan motor was around $150 best I remember last summer. HVAC company wanted over $1200. My unit is over 20 years old so I took the risk and learned something new. Happy.

Arrived a day earlier. Self installed carefully along with a new contactor and my Goodman works like new. Ac techs wanted to upsale and change the entire system. Be careful with techs because even changing a capacitor, they wanted $500 for a 10 min fix! Make sure you cut the power at the breaker box and the outside disconnect. Make sure no power is shown on the multimeter and discharge the capacitor with a long insulated screwdriver before removing wires. Use insulated gloves. It helps to take pictures of wire placement prior to removing wires.

Perfect replacement for a dead GE 55/5 uf MFD 440 volt Model 97F9839. AC was down on 105 degree heat. Bought this one because it would arrive the very next day (Thank you, Amazon!) Apparently, capacitor failure is the most common AC problem and can be fixed for under $20! Watch the "Word Of Advice" YouTube video on AC capacitor replacement. Had it back up and running in 24 hours. Bought an extra one to have on hand in case this happens again! Thank you too, Bojack!

My AC capacitor failed on a hot summer day, so I decided to purchase this one and install it myself. It was a much more affordable option compared to hiring a repairman, who would have charged over $200. So far, the AC is working perfectly with no issues. I have been an hvac tech for 20 years and this product is no different from the ones I would grab at a wholesaler on the way to a job. Best part is, I didn't have to drive and get it. Delivered for free, same day my AC unit stopped working. The house didn't even get time to warm up !! Can't beat that
