Love these tug leads, compared to other retractable leads this is superior by far. The button to lock and hold the lead is so easy to use, both to lock and release. The lead retracts so smoothly and easily compared to most others. A decent length to enable recall to be practised before trying off leash. The colour of the lead itself makes it nice and easy to spot too. Fantastic for wheelchair users as my dog can have a little room to get out of my way by going in front or behind the wheelchair when space is too tight for her to stay next to my side. Also works great when I need her to heel to my right rather than my left without the lead getting caught or becoming too tight or too loose. They are also incredibly durable - my last dog had one that lasted well over 5 years, my helpers all say it's much more comfortable in their hands than others I have had in the past with a nice balanced weight. A little more expensive than some cheap ones but the difference in quality is so great that they are definitely really good value for money.

Durable, and well designed. The tape is reflective and the mechanism works well when you need to vary the length of the leash while you’re on the go.

This is a great retractable which is true to length and size . The large is a bit uncomfortable for me, but my husband who uses this to keep pup from pulling is great .He also likes the large size for comfort in hand size . The hand grip on this large tug leash is great for the big handed man. It works great for him . Keeping them both happy .

Very happy with is this product. I have used Tug products before and I have found that they are very robust and durable. The last one I had previously lasted nearly 10 years used it every day, twice a day.Very reflective and easy to control my dogs with.Hopefully this will last me another 10 years

This is my second purchase. The 1st leash lasted about 13 months before it finally snapped. I like it cause I can give my dog free range so she doesn't tug me around. She gets to enjoy herself on her walks my favorite leash. I recommend highly!

this is a very useful . i find it easy to use, although the lock does stick sometimes, but soon releases! its a pity it was made in China though .

I love my puppy. I really do but my husky does in fact try to remove my hand from the rest of my body on every walk.I really needed to change from a rope leash to a retractable for his safety and my own, an this was a perfect clutch purchase.I shouldn't have been so surprised by the quality as tug seems to be a very well known brand but out of the box i could tell the leash was really well made and is exactly like the photo.I love the color and the handf feel, the grip is really nice, though I would mention it is heavier than I anticipate. It is also much larger than i anticipated for medium retractable leash. But this was a welcome surprise..I like that if it unwinds too quickly it locks in so I don't lose him ib across walk or to a squirrel minding their business.This has made my walks with my puppy while I teach him some leash training far easier and more enjoyable.

So I got one of these, and I got to use it for one full day before I left on top of my car at the vet and drove away without it. That one day of use so was good that I immediately ordered a replacement without hesitation.It hangs comfortably in your hand. Perfect weight, just solid enough to be substantial, light enough you don't notice you're holding it. Ergonomically it rests perfectly without having to be gripped, it just becomes an extension of your hand. The leash gives just enough pull that my dog started walking beside me instead of pulling me along, but not so much it bothers my dog. It's just the right amount of tension to keep the leash taut, and said leash no longer dangles across his back or gets tangled up in his legs.Only con, if you have the leash locked and then release, the quick rewind action will jerk your pup's collar slightly. It's not bad but it's noticeable. So this time I also got a short stretchy leash extender to absorb the shock. It actually comes with a short extender that is not stretchy, it's for dogs that like to chew their leads, so your dog doesn't chew on the actual lead.I got mine with the reflector, the lead is also reflective and I feel it's a lot safer at night, highly recommended.
