Sturdy and it works! The only issue is my husband's hands are a bit big for the handle. I do not care for ribbon instead of extending wire on some lead lines but the ribbon seems to hold up very well. My dog can pull hard as a puppy and the item is in great shape. You still need to teach your dog "walk with me" to end the lunging but I'm glad I bought this for a fair price

This retractable leash has been a reliable companion for the months I’ve owned it. It works as advertised and hasn’t broken down once. I find the design aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to hold. The locking mechanism is sturdy and reliable, unlike other leashes that have failed me in the past. The black parts are made of rubber, which makes it shockproof, considering how many times I’ve dropped it without any issues. I also appreciate the small hole provided for attaching poop bag cases.While the ABS is functional, I haven’t found as much use for it as I anticipated. However, it’s still a valuable tool when I need it, such as when a small rabbit darts by. My dogs are capable of catching them, so this leash undoubtedly saves lives.

These are worth every penny. The top one I bought at Petsmart 3 years ago. It has been used daily with my Corgi, Bloodhound, and 3 Rottweilers, I only had to replace because the handle finally gave up, this thing has lasted through well over 100lb dogs pulling, yanking, darting, playing, alert/protective measures and remained intact until yesterday. The “autobreak” feature which protects you and your doggo is my favorite part because my physical limitations. Very durable, absolute best retractable leash on the market, worth every penny.

Excellent for dogs that chase or lunge while on a walk. The brake system works well and gives you time to redirect your dog. I feel very secure having a lock also. I would recommend sizing up. My bulldog is within the medium guidelines but that was too small and, I felt, no strong enough for him. Otherwise, a great product! I would own no other leash.

I bought one of these a year ago. My dog is 60 lbs of pure low to the ground pulling power coupled with explosive speed. And he is a running fool that has no mind whatsoever when his prey drive is active. This leash will instantly lock when he explodes after a squirrel, often when I'm least expecting it. After I learned to hold on tight to this little flexible leash the value of it was immediately shown when my dog could no longer run into the street after the aforementioned squirrel before I could stop him or simply rip the leash out of my hand altogether. In short, this leash allows enough leeway that he can wander a bit into the weeds to do his business without me nearby but grants enough control that I don't worry about him getting away from me, which is exactly what I need. The bad thing about the leash is that the material of the leash thread itself began fraying a month ago, which began to gum up the works of the retraction system. I was able to cut some of the fraying nylon material away and gently work at it until the retraction worked again, but I opted to buy a new one entirely and used the old as a spare. Note that I probably use this leash 10-12 hours weekly during our walks in all types of weather, so it's gotten a workout in the last year. I did notice that the retraction mechanism gets a bit sluggish at -5 F and below and it's not always happy in heavy rain either. While it would be great if this leash were a bit more durable, the auto brake feature is indispensable for me and I'll continue to buy this leash unless and until someone markets the same thing with more durability.

ABS locks at high speed just like a leash would when your dog gets to the end of it; at high speed and abruptly. It doesnt keep you dog from reaching high speed or lock when they lunge. It locks when your dog is already huckin it towards that squirrel and yanks you arm, you just have no control or idea when or if its gonna lock up. Leash twists up as its not that wide. No screws visible to open it up and take out ABS so its going back to amazon. Not worth the price tag;

I already have a leash by Flexi that is 10 years old and trustworthy. I wanted to try this because my dog is a sudden puller and the ABS sounded good.3 serious flaws:1. The tape design is retractable as long as it is fed 90 degrees like the hole. If there is a bend to say 45 to -90 degrees then it will not retract and you will have your free hand trying to unwind this. The Flexi has a tubular cable or rope design which never has had this issue the 10 years I owned it.2. The buttons have gotten stuck and it becomes useless. This one has 2 buttons and you have to push down on 1st button and up on 2nd button to lock which has gotten stuck. The mechanism from Flexi is more intuitive with a simple button down and thumbnail push up to lock, never jammed the 10 years owning it.3. The ABS doesn't kick in unless there is momentum. Think of a car hitting an object at 35 mph vs hitting an object at 1 mph accelerating to 35mph. It has not ever worked once as intended.

I have a large dog who was impossible to walk because she is so strong/excited, she actually gave me a concussion on a reg leash. I’ve gone through more leashes than I should have. This literally trained my dog how to walk at a perfect pace where she no longer pulls or tries to bolt (there are a lot of distractions she has learned to ignore now) . The leash makes a click when locking and that clicking sound became a very useful tool for her to recognize causing her to promptly slow down and walk with me. It’s been nothing short of perfect. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ~as many stars as possible. It’s built very well and is extremely light and comfortable to walk with. Thanks for making this leash it’s amazing!!

By far the best retractable leash out there.I cant read puppers mind. For the most part he is great. But he is so a dog lolThis leash helps save my shoulder from when his doggo brain kicks in and all 60lbs of furface decides to go the other direction. SQUIRREL!!!!!Second one owned (1st one was my fault. I ran over the handle... But it still worked flawless)
