I use this for my hydroponics system and it's nice to use because it has a stick attached to it. I feel like I'm getting a better reading versus places the prob into the top 2 inches of surface water to get my readings. Super easy to use and it comes with solution to help it stay calibrated. Can't be much easier than this. I don't have any complaints for this item. Very functionable and easy to read. Highly recommend.

This pen offers exceptional value for its price. Its accuracy is on par with my other measuring tools, ensuring reliable results every time. The assembly process is straightforward, making it user-friendly right from the start. Whether I'm holding it at various angles or viewing the display from different positions, the readings are always clear and easy to interpret. The only aspect that prevents me from giving it a perfect five-star rating is the build quality. While it's not poorly constructed, it doesn’t exude that premium feel that some higher-end models have. Overall, this pen stands out as a solid choice for anyone seeking a dependable and affordable measuring tool, and I would certainly recommend it based on its accuracy and performance.

I'm an experienced gardener who decided to try to grow vegetables indoors during the winter - my learning curve quickly showed me that DWC set ups require not just careful attention to the water, but to nutrient content, pH, etc.The Citzada probes (I also have the pH probe) are tremendous. I went from 'meh' output to not just improving my hydro crops, but -learning- because the probes are so good, and the information so important. Worth restating: not only is this a well made (sturdy, accurate) product, but it's so good in its intended use that it prompts me to think harder about things. For those who are experienced, perhaps not a concern. So, the product's key elements: quite accurate (measured vs. friend who is chemist), sturdy (hard plastic, only the probe seems fragile as it should be). Consisent readings; fast. This is a great product.

As someone who loves plants and is dabbles in hydroponics, this meter has been a game-changer for me. Right out of the box, it’s easy to see the thoughtfulness that went into this tool. There’s a slight learning curve (as with any new device), but the clear instructions and information provided made it quick to pick up. If you've studied the science of hydroponics at all this meter will only make you want to learn more. The high-visibility design is smart—being able to glance at it and get instant, real-time readings makes monitoring my nutrient solution so much less stressful. I love the precision of the readings for TDS, EC, and CF levels, especially when I’m mixing solutions. It’s comforting to know I’m giving my plants the balanced feed they need for optimal growth.Another huge bonus is that it comes factory-calibrated, so I could start using it immediately. And if I ever need to recalibrate, the included calibration solution makes it easy—I hate having to buy one separately because my old solution is out of date. The automatic temperature compensation is also nice, especially when water temperatures fluctuate in my setup, and I appreciate that it doubles as a stirrer. It seems like this was actually designed with the end user in mind. Whether you are a beginner or have more experience, this takes out the guesswork and I would highly recommend!

Interesting tester. I'm am NOT into hydroponics, however I do like to monitor my weekly rose fertilization water. I use water soluble organic fertilizers, and need to track salts, minerals, pH, and other things. This thing comes pre calibrated, although there is calibration fluid included. The meter come int two main pieces just like the photos and description shows. Goes easy together, and is easy to use. It does NOT come with any instructions other than how to physically use the meter - so you'll have to search for what the readings mean, what normal levels should be for your particular application. As a test, I tried it with some A B solutions for my aerogarden. There was a noticeable difference in the readings between the tests (water plus A solution only), (water plus B solution) and then mixing both. I'm still learning what the readings are telling me, and have created a log of sorts, for the various organic fertilizer/water feedings. Couple of notes: the meter DOES take into effect the temperature. I'd recommend that you let the meter acclimatize to wherever you are taking the readings, then take all your readings in that one place. Also, make sure to rinse off and dry the meter before storing, especially if you're measuring anything with salt water like aquariums or as in my case, fertilizer solutions. The meter seems to be working like I expected and I like the long shaft/wand which easily reaches down into my spray tank or drench tanks. I'm still learning, how to interpret the results - but the meter works well for me so far. It's mostly plastic, the fit and finish is good, digital ready is easy to see.
