This is a very comfortable riding helmet because of the simplicity to adjust, padding, light weight, and ventilation. We love that it is very economically friendly and good quality.

I’ve been wearing an adult ladies xsm. It so hard to fit my head. Troxel has been helmet chose for 40 yearsThe helmet will protect you very well but one crack and it needs replacing which Toxel does a warranty and over the ears I have cracked 2. They were replaced them. It is not a free ride with a helmet. All accidents are different. While I was on my horse I almost always wore my helmet. Now I’m a senior and I had the most common fall. Backwards, one second on feet 2 seconds later I cracked my head open. I bought this helmet for Pickleball. Because I trust Toxel and an XSM fits perfectly

It comes as described but just be verryyyyy careful about the measurements, unfortunately I had to return mine because I didn't realize there was no adjustable strap😭 If your head doesn't exactly fix the measurements, I would suggest getting a helmet with an adjustable dial/strap in the back, it's a lot safer that way too!

I am just getting back into horseback riding and I wanted a good quality helmet for a good price. I love this helmet, it fits great and feels great. I would recommend to anyone needing an equestrian helmet.

This was my go-to helmet for back-up or lessons for YEARS. But the new model is no longer size-adjustable in any way (other than the chin strap, which doesn’t help how it fits your head). There is no spare padding as there has always been before, no Velcro adjustments like there were for awhile, and no dial or other mechanism. So if it doesn’t fit you perfectly out of the box (and since it’s not even number-sized but just generic S-M-L-etc that’s even less likely to happen), you can’t do anything to adjust it. It even came with a booklet that said THIS EXACT MODEL comes with extra thicker padding in the box, and their customer service confirmed to me that that was a lie.Since helmet fit is key to helmet safety, it’s clear Troxel has decided safety is no longer a priority. (Probably why they have also been slipping in safety ratings over the past few years.)I have owned at least one Troxel of one kind or another for at least 25 years, and this will be the last one I own. I’ve already replaced my everyday helmet with an Ovation, and will be replacing my back-up with a non-Troxel helmet as well.
