The very lightweight inmold riding helmet uvex exxential II MIPS convinces with innovative design as well as the deeper cut helmet shell and the integrated MIPS system, which offer additional protection. The 3D IAS size adjustment in height and width ensures a perfect fit at all times. Female riders will be pleased with the ponytail cut, which makes wearing the helmet with long hair much more comfortable. For an always perfect helmet climate, an improved ventilation management is used.

With the uvex exxential II MIPS, uvex brings a safety technology known and proven many times over in cycling, winter and motor sports to equestrian sports. Developed in Sweden, the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System pursues the idea of protecting the human brain from the associated rotational movements in the event of a lateral or oblique impact. To achieve this, a movable second shell is mounted between the inner padding and outer shell in the helmet, which rests directly on the head. If the rider hits the ground at an angle during a fall, the resulting rotational force is not transferred to the head but is dissipated by the movement of the MIPS inner shell.

I initially bought this helmet because of the comfortable fit on my head the lightweight feel, and the excellent ventilation. It was a very comfortable helmet to wear. I recently had a catastrophic accident where I was thrown from my horse when a bed of deer leaped up almost underneath us. I broke my back in three places and am currently in a body brace for 8 weeks, however what I did NOT half was a head injury. I landed flat on my back, and I heard the helmet crack against the hard ground that I fell on. But I have never even had a tender spot on the back of my head. I am thankful that my head was one thing I never had to worry about during the assessment of my injuries. I will be buying another one of these!

I lease an horse and take lessons twice a week so I’m riding about 4 days a week. I wanted a helmet with the mips system and chose this one. On the THIRD time using this helmet, I accidentally took a head dive off the horse cantering over a cross rail and I landed on my forehead and face. I felt the helmet hit and my first thought was how grateful I was that I bought it. I suffered no head damage and have only some road rash on my face from the arena sand. The helmet is light weight and comfortable. I highly suggest it and am glad I got it when I did!

I am very pleased with this helmet. It is easy to adjust to size with the adjustment wheel in the back, and the chin strap is easy to click on and off. MIPS is not a must, but certainly an enhancement. This is a great helmet for a very good price.

Very light, comfortable and protective. I don’t feel any weight when my horse is trotting or cantering. I don’t even feel I am wearing the helmet. I strongly recommend UVEX to any riders. Its helmets are professionally safe. I look cool with my helmet on. If possible, I would ask for sponsorship for my stable.

The helmet is a gorgeous dark navy color and fits perfectly. At first I thought it was too small but adjusted the back adjustment and then it fit my head to a tee. Love it, also like the MIPS technology, which I have on my skiing and bike riding helmets. Also came with a nice storage bag.

This is a really nice quality helmet for the price point with the MIPS technology. This is a good fit in my daughters head and comfortable for her to wear.
