it came with a little scratch on it and without any protection around it, it also came with a helmet bag which is nice. i haven’t fallen yet but it seems to be holding up well!

We bought this for our son who just started horseback riding with Special Olympics. After measuring, we first ordered a medium size helmet, but it was too small (measurement was right at the top of the size). We were able to return it for the correct size (large), which fits perfectly.

Decided to bite the bullet and get my daughter her own riding helmet as opposed to continuing to borrow them! After a bunch of research it was honestly between this brand and the Troxel. My daughter had just participated in a camp where they had Ovation helmets to borrow, so we sorta cheated and I knew a S/M was the correct size! She’s just turned 7, is very small for her age, but her head is “normal” sized lol! Just for reference! It fits like a glove...especially with all the tightening I had to do on the straps and all. The back dial-tightener is great for a snug fit! She has the perfect amount of room to grow into this helmet as well as it fitting perfectly right now too. I’m planning on trying it on my 11 year old to see if I need a larger size for her, or if this one will fit her as well—I predict it will, it just won’t need all the tightening I had to do for my 7 year old.It seems very lightweight but sturdy, enough breathing space in the vents, and it comes with a cute drawstring round bag, perfect for holding a round helmet in!I honestly decided to go with this helmet as there were a couple reviews that it had withstood actual accidents. Either falling or getting kicked by accident. You hardly hear of such accidents, but to hear the helmet actual withstood the accidents was enough for me to feel confident enough in this helmet! My daughters will begin riding lessons tomorrow, so unless I update with issues, you can assume it’s holding up just fine!! Good luck!!

Back in the 80s when I rode horses I wore a velvet flocked plastic helmut that didn't even have a proper neck strap. that Old style english riding hat didn't work when I fell jumping and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks with a serious concussion. My kids go to an a sleep away camp in North Carolina, where they ride daily and even compete in the state fair. This is what they wear. its safety rated, vented, adjustable so it fits correctly, and won't explode if you drop it. It also looks professional and is much less expensive than that french branded helmet. This is a no brainer, Buy this helmet if you want good quality, performance function without the premium paid for a logo.

I've purchased this exact style of helmet several times over the past few years and use this it for my daily and lessoning rides. The helmet is lightweight with foam padding and modeled plastic exterior that is a matted finish. The padded liners on the inside are attached with hook and loop closure so you can remove and wash them as needed. The chin straps are adjustable and made of a nylon material with a plastic clasp closure. The helmet fit can be adjusted with the plastic toggle. The Chin straps and toggle components are not replaceable parts so when the they break you will need to replace the entire helmet. The visor is not molded into the helmet so it has a tendency to pop off, this is not an issue for me as I have a large brim visor that I attach to the helmet that provides better sun protection.
