I've used a bunch of these, and they are fantastic... Very secure, front and sides can swing open or unlatch and come completely off with no tools. The top and bottom have nice size access panels. Very sturdy and does not flex, comes completely assembled.I am surprised these aren't more expensive they are so nice.

Visualizing it on the wall is deceiving until you have it in hand, when I opened the box I thought it was oversizeed for my space until I got the tape out to double check the actually physical dimensions, it was spot on. Nice and sturdy not flimsy at all, came assembled. nicely vented much nice then some of the trash I have seen used in the work place. Happy I spent the extra money for a quality product. I am using it for project at home to clean up my garage DMARC be another week or so before I mount this, but I am very happy with what i got. the product.

Great little case, but next to nothing about how to mount it to the wall, so you're on your own with that. It comes with no hardware to do that either. The mounting bracket is designed in such a way that once it's mounted on the wall, you're supposed to be able to hang the unit on the bracket, but it just doesn't work. Either the screws/bolts are in the way of getting it on properly or you can't "tilt" the unit enough to get the blades into the slots in properly, so you have to have someone hold it for you while you awkwardly keep the mounting bracket in place while trying to screw/bolt it down to the wall at the same time. It's kind of ridiculous. I managed to get it up on my own, but it wasn't pretty. I used 4 tapcon hex concrete anchors on the mounting bracket into a concrete wall that had drywall over it. That would have been perfect had the thing fit while the bracket was on the wall, but it didn't - they were in the way, so had to back them out and then hang it with the bracket already in place on the unit. very, very awkward. I also had to use washers between the tapcons and unit because they would have gone right through the spaces. The only other knock on this unit is the holes for running cable through are very large with no adjustments. so you have a huge slot open to run a few cables through - in my case about 8 cables through the top one and 1 power cable through the bottom. I ended up drilling another hole just off-centre from the original so that I could keep it mostly closed while allowing enough room for the 1 power cable to pass through. I didn't see anything on the tripp-lite site (or amazon) to manage this better. In other cases, they have a part that covers that space with either styrofoam where the cables pass through or bristles to keep the opening looking a little better and cables tidy.

This rack is solid; I really like it. It's not at all flimsy, and holds all our switches and patch panels like a champ. It's got side doors that make access easier, as well as ingress plates on both the top and the bottom, so cable bundles can move where needed. For what it is, it is excellent and I have no complaints whatsoever. In practice, however, I ran into a few snags. First, it's amazing how quickly 6U can go. I needed 5U when I started, but one extra is not enough; I should have gotten an 8, but that's my fault. The bigger warning is that 16.5" depth really isn't enough if you're using managed switches. I tried putting a Cisco 3750E in here, and it was about an inch too long, even with the front mounting rails moved all the way up. I replaced it with a Dell 6224, which technically fits, but I had to get a right angle power adapter, and even then it just barely fit. I gave the rack five stars because the issues I ran into were clearly a lack of planning, but I thought I would post this warning that a 20" deep rack is probably a better investment if you're not absolutely certain of the dimensions of all the equipment going into this rack before it is purchased.Joey

This is a well built, attractive small rack to tidy up equipment. They used to send it without enough hardware but now they include all the hardware you will need to install your equipment. If you add a shelf you will double the floor area available for seating electronics.

Exceptional! I am pleasantly surprised with the build quality of the Tripp Lite 6U wall mount. There is nothing cheap about it. The fit and finish is grade A. In the past I have encountered corner cutting with similar products, such as rough metal edging or poorly threaded screw holes. Not with this unit, everthing was precisely tooled and engineered, which speaks volumes about quality control. It was very easy to securely mount to studs, looks very professional and tidy. Air flow is no issue and the placement of the underside and above plates make it easy to work with, in addition to the front and side doors. Used to house a 24 port switch, patch panel, ups, and a light duty server, this box make sfor a clean server closet.

Bought this to consolidate all of my network equipment in a single, nice looking location. The rack comes completely assembled with the ability to move the mounting rails fore and aft based on the depth of your equipment. I was able to fit a Cisco 3750G PoE switch, a Cisco 5506, a Monoprice keystone patch panel and a Cyber Power PDU with two 2Us left. It came with all of the items I needed to mount these four pieces of equipment (assuming you use two screws per device). The rack came with a removable mounting bracket that you screw to two studs. This arrangement allows the rack to be mounted in two different offsets. Having this bracket allows a single person to be able to mount this without needing three arms.If needed, you can mount up to four 120mm fans (you supply the power). It also has two 10"x2" openings (one on the top and one on the bottom). The rack can be mounted upside down if you like as it symmetrical. The door can hinge from the left or the right depending on your needs. To keep the install super clean, I finished it off with Monoprice 6" no-boot patch cables. Forget all of that extra cable that everyone seems to love.Considering the quality and price, you can't miss with this handy little rack.

I bought this rack to hold a 1U UPS backup power supply and a pair of 2U DVRs (one for security and one for distributed television) mounted in a remote closet. It serves this purpose nicely though it only ships with 12 rack screws and 12 matched cage nuts. It is a 6U rack so to mount 6 1U devices you would need 24 rack screws and 24 cage nuts. If your mounting lots of 1U devices you'll want to order a dozen or so extra nuts/screws with the rack.(I like to have a few extra on hand) The rack mounts flush to the wall and has no real provisions to access the rear of deep mounted equipment once mounted so on one of my DVR's it was a tight squeeze getting everything hooked up with room for the wires to escape. The removable sides helped in this endeavor but to hold an unmounted DVR and hook up 8 cameras, power, and then slide the equipment in and mount it; all while on a ladder, it would have helped to have a couple spare hands. All in all i'm happy with the purchase though my middle atlantic racks in the main distribution center are much nicer, but they also cost more.
