Works well. Nice little kit. Love that it came with a cleaning brush with it. Just makes it more convenient.

This is a very good value. The hydrometer is very nice, easy to read, and the kit is quick and easy to use. It includes a 250 ml graduated cylinder (would have been nicer if this was 100 ml), a cleaning brush, storage containers, a storage bag, and instructions. Overall very nice kit, and economically priced for everything you get.

I bought this hydrometer to help me get specific gravity readings of my brew as I begin my journey with homebrewing. This hydrometer works really well, and contains all the useful information. The only thing I would say is that the reading cylinder is a big too larger at 250ml. That's about a glass of wine of solution to pull just to measure SG. I ended up ordering a transparent 100ml one that works without me having to pull so much liquid out of the fermenter.Other than that, no issues or problems.

I have been using this instrument for a few weeks now. Here are my thoughts:When it first arrived I find that the wax seal that keeps the weight in its place had move up a bit, and now I had a "maraca hydrometer".I remember placing the question about if this would hurt the readings. Then, the manufacturer contacted me and then we try to find a solution. It happened that the hidrometer was fine, and it worked as it should. Anyway, the manufacturer offered to give me a discount coupon so I could get another one for free. I didn't accept: the one I purchased was ok and I didn't need the replacement. It was very nice of them. Now, about the rest of the equipment: it's great. Works as it should, and the comparative readings chart with the aproximate values already done is extremely useful, I had mine laminated so it would last forever. Finally, I can make mead and know the alcohol contents. Not knowing was driving me crazy, after all, I am kinda a lab geek and I need my readings done. By the way: I like the plastic "graduated cilinder" (don't know the word "probeta" in english, I think the diccionary lied to me in this haha), I think it is the first thing to get damaged after intensive use if it was glass, so plastic will last forever. My cats gave it the "thumbs up" after dropping it from the shelf when I was drying it.And the bag: such a good idea! So: great product, works wonderfully, and the manufacturer has great customer service.Would buy from them without a doubt.

You cannot go wrong for the price, I use this to check my sugar content before and after fermentation, it also gives you potential alcohol percentage in your mash.

This product is great. It's easy to use, comes with varying carry cases for extra security. Only two things that stand out are the tube that the hydrometer it self sits in has two caps instead of being sealed at one end. Be careful that the hydrometer doesn't just fall to the ground. Also a 100 ml graduated cylinder would be more convenient than the 250ml. That's just nitpicking though. Overall for the price and materials supplied I'd highly recommend this product and the supplier. Also I don't think it was mentioned in the description, but the guy, Daniel, sent me a 36 page e-book on brewing with the history, terminology, how to brew different drinks. Also there is am 8 of e-book about how to use the hydrometer and some info on what a dry or medium or sweet mead hydrometer readings should be between. Not going to lie this has been some excellent customer service, to the point where this should be the gold standard. I don't normally write reviews, but I hope someone purchases a hydrometer based on mine. This seller really deserves it.

The meter kit arrived in perfect condition, no damage at all and was carefully wrapped. Instructions were a little confusing for a first time user, but after watching a quick youtube video then rereading the instructions it made a lot more sense, so I really wouldn't say this was the manufacturers fault but maybe me just being a novice. Used this first on a store bought bourbon to practice and check accuracy and it read exactly as the bottle % claimed. I would definitely recommend this hydrometer based on ease of use, price and accuracy.

This set is pretty decent. The hydrometer itself is actually very nice. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the graduated (plastic) cylinder is not clear. It's translucent. While that's not a problem for measuring volumes a liquid, it does become a problem when trying to use the hydrometer itself as you have to fill the cylinder up to the VERY top to be able to read the hydrometer as it sticks out of the top of the cylinder . There is no way you can read they hydrometer THROUGH the graduated cylinder with a partial fill. Not a huge deal, but I wish I would have known this before purchasing as you have to fill the cylinder up to the VERY top so you can read your hydrometer reading which is a waste of raw beer.
