Much easier way to assure my Maple syrup is at the right consistency. Love this product. Would highly recommend if your making homemade syrup.

First hydrometer was shattered and did not come twitch the test cup as ordered. Sent back, ordered again and still no cup. Had to end up ordering separately.

Was previously using a thermos—this is so much easier to clean and use. Sturdy and worth the investment.

We have used this twice for maple sugaring and it works great. The handle doesn’t get hot, even though it is holding maple syrup that is at the soft boil stage. Highly recommend for measuring the gravity of your maple syrup!

OK, it's a stainless steel tube with a large loop welded to it so you don't burn your fingers. Not much to go wrong. Loop is good size, base is very stable, takes a little less than a cup to fill it adequately, and it's very quiet!
