Excited to receive my alcohol proofing hydrometer. Advertisement says new and improved. Made with plastic now to guard against breakage, and it arrives broken. SMH.

I chose this hydrometer to measure the alcohol level in my son's mead. At any given time, he has a few carboys going with different mead recipes. When done, he measures the alcohol content in his mead concoctions with this hydrometer. Although he did have to use his existing test jar (one is not included with this hydrometer), the readings were still accurate. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.
