I have a a big head, most of the time most XL MTB helmets fit, no problem, but when it comes to rafting, I've had the hardest time finding a lid for my fathead. Thankful I took a chance on this Triple Eight Gotham Water Helmet. It fits perfectly, and is comfortable even after 3 hours on the river! I need to get the ear covers for it for winter river runs, I thought it came with them, apparently, it does not. But besides that, I would recommend this helmet to all my fellow big head river rats!5 Stars!

I've had this helmet for about 5 years and it held up nicely with a fair amount of use with windsports (windsurfing and wingfoiling). I put a GoPro mount on the top, which stayed on for over 2 years. I recently bought a second one because the one I'd had for 5 years was slightly too small - my fault - and I was happy enough with my first one that I just bought a new one of the same in the next size up. The only long-term issue I found was that the zipper for the foam insert got corroded from salt water exposure, but I don't blame the manufacturer for that.

Do not recommend. I used this less than 20 times on the waters of the Columbia River. The strap rivet broke off and I couldn't get it back on. The helmet itself felt really flimsy and not very protective. Overall not pleased with this product, wish I'd returned it immediately.

This helmet seems to do the trick - its a good price and it fits. USE the side chart. I was right at the top of the Large and I thought about getting XL. I figured a lose helmet would be annoying. This thing is a bit tight - I was on the top of the L, and I am right there - i feel like if I needed a haircut it wouldn't fit.Good for what I need - I am going to use it wake boarding so generally not on for very long. If I were using it kayaking I would have to get a larger size.
