So I normally wear a large, but for whatever reason this company can’t just make normal sizes. I tried a L/XL first and my head was swimming in it. Sent it back, and ordered a medium/LG. Just got it and it’s too small. Small enough that it’s painful. I will be sending this one back and will get a helmet from a company that makes standard sizes… you know… small, medium, large, and X large.

Cracked after ONE soft hit while kayaking. First time using…. Not sure if it’s a defective one or terrible design, but if you want your head to be protected, please avoid this helmet! Cracking the first use is completely unacceptable eclectically in class 1-2 water!!

IMPACT PROTECTIONNot only is this helmet one of the most comfortable helmets I have worn, it absorbs impact like nothing else. I always have had a tough time finding a helmet that fits my large 7 3/4 dome. The Trident is very comfortable. Comfortable to the point that I do not take it off like I did with other helmets to give my head a break. Thankfully that is the case, because I ended up in the water with a submerged rock when I might have had a different helmet off of my head at that particular stretch of river. The 3 layer system of the Trident worked flawlessly, I could not be more pleased.
