I am an installed for 20+ years. Do not mess around with cheap patch panels. Nothing worse that punching down 20-40 cables and then see then start failing left and right when you are testing. I have used and installed both the 24 and 48 versions of this panel. Works fantastic and never had an issue on a single port. I will use them again

Love this patch panel. Nice for my 6U Rackmount. Already used 22 of 48 ports and I am not done adding.

Fairly easy to install. Should use a Krone Blade for better cut downs instead of a 110 punch. The picture shows the backside of the patch panel. Just finishing up punch down before I flip it over. Used CAT 6 cables it took some maneuvering to turn without pulling off any cables. Good quality panel. Have purchased in the past. Always tests 100%.

As for anything I believe you get what you pay for. I was looking for a good, cheap, and fast cat 6 patch panel and this almost beat my expectations. It's a pretty well made construction the metal is pretty thick but always room for improvement. The only minor problem I had was speed it seems I could only get the bottom end of MHz for cat 6 standard but none the less still cat 6 standard. For the money you can't beat it. It would have been five star but except for the minimum ratings.

It is what it says that it is. I don't wire in place typically as all of them appear flimsy when punching it down but duh! The price is right and it is easy to get to. I have a huge steel shelf and punch down on that so it is near to the right spot. Then remove the shelf and place the panel. Simple and effective solution. The design makes it pretty easy to run wire and route it properly. The design also makes a pretty easy time of getting into a full panel as long as you plan ahead.

I installed this for a customer, who had someone else run all the cables. This leads to several problems, but none of the related to the product purchased. In fact, the product handled everything I threw at it with flying colors. The patch panel came with all instructions, mounting bolts, and everything else you would expect. The issues I faced was that the person that ran the cables did not bother labeling all of the cables AND drilled into some of the wires after he ran the cables. This lead to false tones, dead wires, and multiple rip-outs and re-punches. TRENDnet hit it out of the park with the ability to handle the multiple re-punches and no ports were an issue here. 5/5, very happy and I would rebuy without a second thought.

I purchased 8 of these patch panels, and terminated Cat5e on every port using a 110 punch tool. Not a single bad port, and everything is working reliably. I would highly recommend these to anyone. Don't let the low price scare you, these are very much a professional quality patch panel. I've also used some of the 24 port configuration style, with the same results. (I used these panels with the 'Tripp Lite SP2POST 2-Post Open Frame Rack Server Cabinet 45U' also available on amazon, and also highly recommended).

Purchased one of these for a client's network that we've been swapping from 10/100Mbps CAT5e to 1000Mbps CAT6.Opened the box, and everything looked ok. No broken parts, no loose parts, looked like it was ready to go.Terminated a dozen or so runs to it, and all passed certification. So, I was impressed.I like the fact that it has wire guides that hook onto the back to group the twisted pair wires for each set of 6 jacks. I do wish that it had caps to go over the termination blocks once the wires are pushed down, but not a major grip as it's a stationary item once it's mounted to the rack and the wires are routed and secured down the wall. It's unshielded, so obviously you run the risk of interference and cross-talk, but again, each terminated run passed certification, and network is now running at 1000Mbps, so no complaints.I'd recommend it...

Just what it's supposed to be. It consists of blocks of six ports, and the panel is four blocks wide by two blocks high. The metal frame is sturdy. The back is labeled and color coded for T568A and T568B. You'll need a punch down tool of course. I didn't notice a problem with the blocks coming out of the frame, but then I held the front while pushing on the back as a matter of course to get enough leverage.
