I cannot believe how useful this little thing is. Plug in a capacitor in it and it gives the value and the internal resistance. Plug a transistor in it and it will tell you the gain and which leads are the emitter, base and collector. Very useful for matching transistors for repair projects. Then this thing will measure inductors and resistors too! Even if you only use it a couple of times it's worth having in your tool box!

I had a variety of N channel mosfets to test. This device said “unknown” on all of them. I went back to using a regular meters’ ohm scale to test them successfully.

As everyone knows these tools are great especially for the price but in the short time I had it it would not test a few different diodes as well as some 2 diodes. Sometimes it show "bad" on a known good part So I just can't trust it. Also the little blue pin clamp easily falls off making it annoying to even try and use it. For the price I guess it is worth it to most but too many false "bad" results and reading simple diodes incorrect makes it no use to me. Maybe I just got a bad one..

Works very well, helped identify failed components and made a repair job easy.

An instruction sheet would have been nice.

I have bought two of these and find them quite useful. I question the need for the multi-pin socket on the front when only three leads are attached, seems a bit of overkill to me. I think they could have done away with that socket and fixed the three test leads permanently.

We tested a number of new PNP, NPN, P-D-MOS, N-E-MOS transistors. Some of the transistors came up as two diodes instead of a transistor. Some came up as "No, Unknown or damaged". But, the same transistors tested good in another transistor tester and worked fine when installed in an amplifier. We reported the details of the problem to the seller. They said they would send the details to their engineer and get back to us. They never did. So we returned this one.We have other transistor testers in the same price range that work just fine and produce accurate results.

This review is for the "Aideepen Transistor Tester".I bought this variant of the Atmega328 tester because I wanted the 9 volt battery option for easy replacement. The item looks cheap but does the job. I compared readings with my multi-meter and the results were spot on. I like the plug and play convenience and variety of components it can test. Inserting components directly into the meter works better than using the loosely fitting socket adapter. My biggest criticism is the backwards way the unit is turned on. You have to press TEST-OFF-TEST buttons in order for the unit to power on. The product didn't come with instructions, so I pressed TEST/ON button thinking that alone would do it. All I got was a blank screen, so I thought it was broken. I was about to return the item when my kid magically brought it to life. It never occurred to me I had to press a button sequence to turn on the device.
