It’s a nice tester, didn’t like the fact of no instructions or reference booklet, it would be nice if it came with test leads so you don’t have to bend the wires on what your testing to make it fit in the small slots for testing. Otherwise it’s a nice little tester.

Doesnt work on igbts, darlingtons or high gain transistors. Also it doesn't measure many useful parameters of mosfets. The pin arrangement of the test block is poorly designed; it is impossible to insert a to-3p transistor. Other transistor testers do these things just fine.

The first one I ordered had the corner broken off of the screen and only half of the display actually worked. When I got my replacement it was defective. It was unable to check germanium transistors. It kept saying it was a resistor. It worked fine for silicon transistors and diodes.

i bought this based on my friends recommendation as I am doing CB Radio repair. It's great to test transistors and other electronic parts. Easy to use. Plug in the part into any slot and hit the button. Good price, good purchase.

For the price, this is amazing. It works better than I expected. I had to modify the case slightly but that took only a few minutes with the rotary tool. I’ve tried using it for in-circuit testing of transistors with mixed results but for loose components it is easier to use than the transistor tester in my multimeter and I expect it to be a big help in my shop, especially in sorting out my collection of old “mystery” components.

The tester itself is great and worth the money by itself. The case has a serious flaw in that it seats the board so far away from the test pad that you have to use tweezers to set a flat mount component in there. It's like playing the old "Operation" game from the 70's. The case could be fixed by simply drilling the start test button hole bigger and providing a taller nylon riser.

Connected a fresh 9V battery (checked the voltage with a voltmeter). Pressed blue button. LCD screen lights up completely blank. No text, no graphics. Cannot be used to measure or test anything. Returned for replacement.Amazon of course is amazing, so returning the DOA unit was as easy as printing a QR code and dropping the unit off at the UPS store (where they boxed and labeled it), and a new unit was shipped on the spot. Arrived the next day. The new unit works. My interest is in capacitance, so I tested it with a variable air capacitor (the old-time tuning capacitors), and it reads spot-on. Bottom line: a good product, but you might have the experience of getting a dead one. Not a pleasant experience, but the exchange takes a day, and is well worth the wait.

As others have said, this product looks good, works great, and has a case, which is awesome. However, there are some issues with it that keep me from giving a 5 star review.With the case on, you can't use the surface mount component section easily, the case had a hard time fitting around the on button and component testing section, the case bulges in the center (so it doesn't fit flat), I wish it came with a battery holder (I had one so that wasn't an issue), my screen was slightly crooked, and there were no instructions. Honestly, that's the main one. No instructions explaining assembly, no instructions saying that it will turn off after about 10 seconds, nothing.TL;DR: It works and the case is decent, but no instructions. Would recommend.
