About this item

  • DCR measurements
  • Parallel or series mode
  • Overload protection, low battery indication, and auto-power off
  • Data hold

The LCR-58 Tweezer LCR Meter is a compact LCR (inductance, capacitance, and resistance) meter with a tweezer form factor. It is small enough for one-hand operation and ideally suited to testing Surface Mount Devices (SMD). Although the LCR-58 is much smaller and lighter than traditional LCR meters, it is a high quality, precise full-feature LCR meter with ESR and Diode Test.

Nice portable LCR meter. Well built. Very functional. Probes are sturdy and aren't loose of wriggle sideways like so many of the 30 dollar meters do but you get what you pay for.

I am totally disappointed with this purchase.First: Upon receiving the package and after opening it I found that the unit does not turn on, after removing the battery cover I realized that it had some condensation, after cleaning and drying the moisture I tried several times to turn it on.Second: after a few days using the unit it was working well until today 2018/07/17. It started with a beep when I used the diode scale, I turned it off and it turned on until I was stiff for a few seconds. For now, no function is working at all. This was a bad investment.

I now own two of these. One for work, and one for home. I had a much more expensive one before (it only had one button that had toggle and press action), but this one is much better. Have measured inductors, capacitors, and resistors with it. It has been repeatable, and as far as I can tell, accurate. The tips are friendly enough for the tiny parts, but just like most tweezers, if you grab a 201 part with them, you'd better have a few extra or you'll soon be out of parts as they tend to vanish right before your eyes. I like that it has a power switch. My old one had an automatic shut off feature that seemed to always pick the wrong time to shut down.

Item was shipped very fast. Received item as advertised and works great! Though the provided user's manual could have included more detail. Overall very happy with purchase.

Delivered fast to Toronto and it works just fine.Have not tested thoroughly but tried it against mydedicated capacitor instrument and it checks out withinthe accuracy limits of such a measurement, given that electrolyticcaps are quite variable.

Works very well. Gives repeatable (and as far as I have been able to verify, accurate) measurements. The user interface is simple and straightforward, and the tweezer design makes it very easy to measure most parts one-handed.

Much more practical than the smaller and more expensive "Smart Tweezers" (which I also own). The display is large enough to read, the device isn't stated by the manuacturer to be as sensitive to damage as the "Smart Tweezers" manufacturer states for their own devices.
