I have a TPLink AX55 router and i could never get a good signal in basement or outside. i tried other extenders, but having to switch my devices and phones was a PITA. The AX55 is mesh compatable, and i was able to link this device using Terather app. took about 2 minutes. Now i can use phone and devices anywhere.problem, it still didnt reach barn or shop about 200' from houseSolution, i purchased 2 more. i paired them with the existing Cloud device. I NOW get wifi calling, text and internet in all 3 of my outbuildings. I placed them at equal distance from cloned unit in sort of a triangle pattern. all are indoors so no issue with weather.now as i roam i can watch the signal strength drop to a point where the other device picks it back up to 5 bars. works seamlessly and does not change the name of the WIFI. so no more dropped calls.Love this...Love this.the internet download speed has dropped from the 150ish indoors Starlink to about 30 in the shop...but who cares. downloads are still quite fast.

Simply amazing wifi extender. It was not simple to setup - the firmware was out of date and the device reset did not fix the issue of WPS connection problems. So, a few steps had to be run from the web browser. To find solution, just Google “how to setup TP-Link manually from a web browser” or something similar. The most important thing in this review is the fact that this wifi extender works great. Excellent range and great bandwidth. Great deal in my opinion.

Originally, I ordered the extender from ATT, which did not really extend the WiFi coverage. I immediately returned it and ordered this one. This one is perfect. Setting up was perfect and now my office room has good wifi strength.

I am not too versed on anything passed turning on my lap top and connecting it to WiFi. I was able to easily able to make it all work pretty quick! The gadget works amazingly and now my entire place has great connectivity! I can confirm that this helped boost our wifi capabilities and now reaches 2000sqft! Great value for the money spent!

I was in the market for a better range extender, as my old one wasn’t holding up and kept losing its range more regularly, and couldn’t put out a good signal even 15 feet away in a direct line of sight. My Xbox wasn’t liking the old one anymore and is a main reason why I needed to upgrade.I happened to notice a couple of these brand new on a body shops reception desk and immediately searched here for it to read up on later. At the time, they just so happened to be on sale at 40% off and not close to Black Friday.With a range of 2800 square feet, and not hundreds of dollars to get that range; I can even get a pretty decent signal parked in the street, from the other end of a normal middle class house. Well worth the $40 something bucks.Now, I don’t quite have it directly facing my router, more at an angle down the hall next to the kitchen, but even at a 45° angle and probably ~2ft lower than the routers height, I can still get about 250-320 or so during non peak hours of the day, (I have spectrums 1 gig residential plan) sometimes even all weekend. Even approximately 150ft away from the router and out of their recommendations, thanks to 2800 sq ft range, I still average 150mbps or more during normal peak times of the day.Unlike my old range extender, there’s an app to manage, monitor, set up and configure the extender. If there’s any slowness going on, the reboot time is 10x faster than via the old range extenders intranet webpage. I’d still trust ooklas speed test app for tracking and testing the connectivity to make sure it’s as good as it can get; besides, playing a miniature car game while a brief speed test takes place in a separate app is really unnecessary. I can even get notifications if and whenever there’s a new update. I believe that’s automatic anyway.The blue LEDs are quite bright in a completely dark area or room, so I did choose to set up an off and on time. It’s important to me that there are light indicators on, during my normal wake/usage hours. So it automatically turns them on about when the sun rises anyway, and off shortly before getting to sleep. Both manually chosen. Or you can have them off 24/7 by pressing the led button on the re550 itself.It’s been a couple months so far and I’m really impressed with it over all. I truely believe if I had an outlet the same height as my router and I was able to face it directly to my router, I’m sure I could very much get the same neck n neck speeds between the two, wirelessly. So that would make it like having the router on the other end of the house too. Power-line extenders are only as good as the circuit wiring in your walls, otherwise much slower plans would be sufficient.

I really like the extender. It does work great and is easy to set up. Mesh works easily with my router. Dinged 1 star because of the long 2 week mfg ship time.

I have been using another Extender for a couple of years now, it works, but I the connection is not always stable or available for devices I need to connect outside, but it works 85% of the time. And I always have doubts or cannot always trust the extender always feed coverage / signal connections. I have tried 2 other products of extenders but they worked pretty much the same. That is why I thought...well, it's probably my problem how everything is constructed and lay out in regards to the areas I need to use this extender. So I have given up in trying to find something better because I think it's going to be pretty much the same results.So last week I finally decided to give another chance to look for a better Extender, I found this, but at first I didn't have much high hope, I would just try it and then refund it if the performance is not what I expected. But to my surprise, the signal is so much stronger providing VERY stable and solid connections ! Now I feel 100% with this extender providing solid connection, I can see my devices loading faster, and not drops at all, everything just work so much better now. Very happy. Now in my case, I'm not so much concerned about "dead zones" is more like I need a solid connection to where I need to use it and this extender performed just that, a solid connection. My internet connect is pretty solid so if the extender can extend it, then everything will be fine, again, this extender did a solid job in extending connection. I'm sure this extender can always broadcast a very long range of connection to help reduce dead zones/spots.Oh, in terms of installation/setup, I do recommend to use the "Tether" app to setup. It's easier for most users. But if you have experience with extenders, you can always connect to the extender network and use a browser (i.e. your phone, iPad, or even a computer) to configure and setup the extender. For me, I used the Tether app to setup the Extender, and I used the Tether app to check status of the extender but the browser offers you more options in settings (i.e. changing wifi passwords - you cannot do that with the Tether app). The instructions are all there in the piece of paper and it's not long so don't need to be scared, it's pretty easy. Just follow what it says. And basically you can just setup/configure using the Tether app but the app is 80 Mb so I might delete it and just connect to the extender and configure / monitor from a browser going forward (just need to save the URL on my browser)If you want to use the Tether to setup/configure this extender you will need (do it before you setup the extender):1. Create a d-link account (very easy, just need an email and create a password)2. Have a Password Handy for your Extender - make 1 up (You need to create a login password to your Extender - You don't want everyone to be able to connect to your Extender and mess things up right?) - you will still need this even if you don't use a Tether app to setup your extender.3. Have your WIFI password ready (the password of the WIFI connection that you want the extender to use). If you are connecting your extender to your router/modem directly with a cable, you do not need this but I think most people are trying to extender their WIFI connections wirelessly.Worth every penny imo, I got this on sale for $60 CDN + tax. . 5 Stars product. Es un equipo que compre para sustituir a otro modelo de TP link el RE650. Este equipo tiene la opcion de onemesh, que te permite unificar tu red con diversos extensores y que tus equipos se conecten al mas potente para ellos.Es muy facil instalarlo, en cuestion de 10 minutos ya esta listo y funcionando.Desgraciadamente el onemesh no funciona tan bien y los equipos se conectan indiscriminadamente a cualquiera de los extensores y al router principal. Con esto a veces la conexion se realiza al extensor mas lejano, bajando el rendimiento.Ademas de lo anterior, la potencia de estos equipos es mas baja que el RE650, estando pegado a ellos, no logran sobrepasar 200Mbps de conexion, cuando el RE650 alcanza los 500Mbps en mismas condiciones.Si la veloidad de tu red de internet es menor a 200Mbps, tal vez te funcione sin mermas en velocidad, pero si es superior a eso, jamas lo alcanzaras con este equipo.Ademas es mas caro que el RE650.
