I bought this WiFi extender because I needed to get a signal in my garage. My router was in my basement so my signal had to go through the floor and four walls. Needless to say the signal on that part of my house was poor and in my garage it was pathetic.WiFi is important to me because I learned that the cell tower, for my phone, is 6 miles across the lake from my home. The maximum number of bars that I get was ONE. Therefore I got many dropped calls and had to say, “can you hear me now?” far to many times. I kind of solved that problem by using WiFi to access the cell provider. Needless to say that I couldn’t move around much while on my cell phone because of my spotty Wifi signal.I found the Paleoer extender on Amazon. The reason I selected the Paleoer was because of the claimed range and price. I never buy the cheapest when it comes to electronics because you always get what you pay for.I am more than satisfied with its performance. It was really simple to install and it boosted my signal significantly. I have an office with computer and smart TV on the main floor, but my router is in the utility room in my basement. I also have two computers and another TV in the basement as well as three printers that I can access using WiFi. Before I purchased the Paleoer I had very limited access to my devices.Prior to purchasing the extender I used an app that allowed me to see the strength of my WiFi signal throughout my home. I had many places where the signal was poor especially towards the garage area. After installing the Paleoer extender my signal in the garage and that part of my house is significantly better. I still had a poor area so I bought a second extender to cover that area as well.Initially I allowed the extender to provide it’s own SSID names. Then I learned that I could use the same SSID as my router. This was a significant improvement because my cell phones didn’t have to change which SSID they connected with. Previous to my change, my cell phones would hold onto a weaker signal when a stronger signal was available.I can now get the maximum strength WiFi signal where ever I am in my house. The network speed is also much faster. My TV never has those periodic pauses to refill the buffer. It's definitely a great device, and it's worth the price. I will also recommend this product to my friends. Their customer service was also excellent. In general, this product is very easy to use and easy to use.Just so that you know, I am 82 not a young computer geek.

Most WiFi extenders in the same price range on the market generally only have 3 setting modes, but this WiFi extender has 5 modes, which is exactly what I was looking for, and the different venues allow me to choose the most appropriate mode to setup. after awhile of trying for some unknown reason i couldn’t get it to setup on my cell phone it keep saying password was wrong so I double check the password and the password was right so I try setting it up on my iPad I was able to set the Extender up on my iPad after setting it up on my iPad I try my cell phone again I was able to get it set up on my cell phone it was quick and easy to set it up on my iPad and cell phone there was a very detailed manual in the box, which had a video QR code through which I saw a video of this WiFi extender being installed. You can watch it in advance and it will take you through the process step by step. It only took me a few minutes to completely setting it up the Extended (watching the video may take longer than the actual setup). This WiFi extender comes with an Ethernet port that connects directly to your computer. This worked well for me. I put the extender in the basement The extender took over and gave me WIFI in the rest of the house and now there is WiFi signal coverage in every corner of the home. Even in my garage, I can still connect to the WiFi network very well.I have a lot of smart item in my house that works with Alexa and you need the network to used the smart items I get to turns lights off and on I have SmartThings that comes on and off that’s has a schedule Times I have my out door Christmas light on a scheduled time to go off and on I have my thermostat on the internet too in this time of life most thing’s are able to be setup to work with wifi I have a couple of Alexa in a few places in the house and one in the garage my outdoor mail box that need’s the internet so my packages won’t walk when a package is scan and put in the mail box it sends a text to my cell phone my ring doorbell and blink cameras are on the network too most of my smart tv are on the internet to watch free movies or YouTube

Our work area is 5500 sq. ft. and even though I have the fastest internet service I can buy, (850 Mb down and 25 Mb up hardwired via our cable company) we can't get a consistently strong Wi-Fi connection throughout the area. Because of the large number of people connected to the Wi-Fi network, our speeds sometimes were slow. Once we plugged in this new Wi-Fi extender, it did a great job of getting and maintaining a Wi-Fi signal throughout the area. This area is about a thousand feet away from the Wi-Fi source, a top end Netgear router. It's very simple to connect the device in between the router and where we are and easy to move if our needs change. A simple 2-minute setup provides a stable Wi-Fi signal. Not only does it increase the speed, but it's also a great value for the money because you don’t need to spend more on a second router. All in all, if your router’s Wi-Fi doesn't reach every corner of where you want it, it's a great addition. Now that I have seen how well this one works, I wish I had purchased two units. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to boost their Wi-Fi signal.
