Way better than the collets that came with my tool.

This collet is 1/4 inch bit compatible. Not 1/4" collet compatible. I'm thinking will fot a 3/8 or 1/2 collet. It's well made and comes in a nice plastic storage tube.

I am a hobby machinist, but was also a mechanic in the dark ages, and this WEXWE brand ER16 collet arrived well packed and with a small amount of lubrication to prevent rust. I could find no burrs or chips, and the quality of the machining is excellent. It's a solid product that I can recommend.

Barely any run out, max .0005" which is great for a collet at that price! Similar products that claim precise concentricity are about .002" of runout.

This seems like a passable enough collet, for what it is, so I'll give an extra star for that. Unfortunately what it is isn't what it's supposed to be. It was advertised as a 1/4" collet, which, in my understanding, means it should hold tools between .211" and .25". The container is labeled 1/4". The collet itself is also stamped 1/4". The bare collet *will* admit a .2500" gauge pin, but it's possible to feel it expanding slightly in my fingers, which isn't good. Once it's snapped into the nut (not even in the chuck), the largest shaft that will even pass the mouth of the collet is around .244" (I didn't bother to test it more precisely than that, as I was on a deadline & now had to come up with a workaround). Even with an appropriately sized shaft, very rough testing with an indicator shows enough runout to belie the "AA" grading. The seller was very responsive (moreso than I was, being, as mentioned, swamped) and I eventually received a refund (they offered to send a replacement to test, but didn't seem to have much inclination/ability to check it themselves first), but this suggests there's something screwy with the manufacturer, so I'm going to be leery of any future purchases unless I get bored enough to play a few rounds of collet roulette.

Well made imperial collets with superior hold to their metric equivalents when using fractional end mills. Great product and reasonably priced!
