Fly caught on water weed. A slight flick to free it and the rod snapped at the 4th section.Disappointing!

It's to long most places I fish I order 6' one use the 10' on big river and shorter rod on small creeks. Other than that well worth the money nice metal tube and sock extra tips.

We have caught hundred of fish on this rod and never had to use the replacement tip section. It’s VERY THIN which is perfect for kids… this is what my son learned to fly fish on, and this is still both of our go-to rods for tiny creeks or technical sections of water

Looked beautiful, felt great, but doesn't make much difference when it snaps in half because I snagged a weed and gave it a slight tug😡Just save your money and stay away.

Excellent rod. I took this on a backpacking trip where I had a solid mile and a half of bushwhacking. This was perfect because I didn't have to worry about it catching on a branch and breaking while hiking in. I used it on a lot of small and large holes and it was really good. I have the 10 foot version but used the 11 foot float line with a 4 foot tippet. It was plenty of line for everywhere I fished. Highly recommend the small attachment to the handle to wind your line on when going from fishing hole to hole as it makes it a lot easier to go between locations.

Great quality, perfect action, perfect portability! The hard case is a bit bigger than it needs to be, but it also comes with a quality sleeve (and an extra end section as well!)Bought it for my wife (who is getting into Tenkara fishing), so we'd have something to both bring on bike rides to the local ponds. :D She caught a few panfish the first time we popped it in the water, and she was hooked! 🎣I have another brand that I've been using as my main rod that is 13 feet long. I paid twice the price for that one, but the Aventik Nano (we got the 9 foot, 10-Section Kit) is so quick and portable and fun to use that I want to get another one, just for me, and buy one for all my friends and family next year!Tenkara is sometimes a bit restrictive (you can't cast into the distance) but you can also bring it anywhere easily and and be up and running so quicklyIf you're at all considering this rod, don't hesitate!Hope this helps, and fish on!

Box had been re-taped & crushed enclosure. Aluminum container was scarred/scratched in several places and contents were just thrown in un-neatly. I was expecting a new item during this "Big Deal" sale.

I purchased this for a 200 mile hike on PCT and JMT. I usually take a 7 piece fly rod, reel and some flies- this rod weights in at 10ounces! so light I kept it in the aluminum case. Using a tenkara takes some getting used when you are trying to land a fish to but I caught lots of fish with the rod. It is well made, easy to use once you get used to rigging it up and how to secure the line when you put it away. The long size (compared to a traditional fly rod) can be a bit difficult to maneuver in brushy conditions but for the small streams in the high sierra this worked beautifully. Caught several golden, rainbow and brookies! (only ate the brookies)
