Not sure if I’m getting any blade edge refinement when sharpening or maintaining with a strop.

Wish this had more diamond content because I have to polish for a lot of extra time. I bought two different versions of these and they're both about the same in diamond content. There is no real regulation or metric of how much diamond content there is in these

I was thankful for the reviews regarding this and I still had my doubts. I had nothing to worry about. This worked like a charm. Polished up my sapphire on my Tag Heuer of over 19yrs. Used a Dremel with a very soft pad, applied some of this on the surface of the crystal, turned on the Dremel on the lowest setting (which is pretty damn quick as it is..) and gently worked it into the crystal. I had nothing to fear because after barely 3-5 min's, it cleaned up the crystal super fine!!Can't tell you how relieved and pleased I was with the results. My time piece is practically brand new! Very very happy with it!

This does work great but I had some trouble at first. My final grit when sharpening is 10,000 and at first my strop loaded with this compound was leaving bigger scratches on the edge, which led my to think this compound is lower grit than it claims. However the problem was in how I was loading the strop, now it removes the 10k grit scratch pattern. I'll try to explain how to load the strop. First it needs several hours or better yet overnight to dry. When I first loaded the strop I used a few drops and a plastic spatula to cover the strop surface and then let it sit. This didn't work. Now I use a few drops and work this in with my finger tip, if it soaks in immediately I'll add a little more, until the surface feels saturated (this still isn't much, maybe 4-5 drops total) and then keep using my finger to work it in until a nice flat, even sheen appears. Then I leave it to dry overnight. This sounds way more complicated than it is, just make sure you work it in, with and against the strop grain and make sure the compound itself is thoroughly mixed up (no big shiney flakes in the mixture and no spots on the strop where it's thicker or thinner than any other spot). Now it's great and leaves an edge that has a scratch pattern very difficult to see even with a magnifying glass and feels like it's melting through phone book paper it cuts it so cleanly.

I used this product to remove scratches from a Citizen watch with a mineral glass crystal. I followed directions and online tutorials, but the scratches I could not get out. Made it shiny with all the buffing, but that's all.

This stuff is the real deal! I was a little skeptical because this isn't a traditional "name brand" of diamond paste, but it really works!I applied a very thin layer on a homemade leather strop using a credit card, then let it dry overnight. The next day I spent about 3-4 minutes stropping various knives that would not cut/slice paper. The knives will now push cut through a piece of paper with EASE!I had a knife that I gave a fat convex edge to that refused to cut paper. I had spent tons of time stropping with 3000 and 8000 grit paste, and even used a belt sander with a leather belt loaded up with 8000 git compound and couldn't get it done. Only took 5 minutes of stropping with this diamond paste and BAM! Slices right through a piece of paper with EASE!Seriously...this stuff really works for sharpening knives. Totally recommend this and will be buying more for friends and family.

Bottom line: this product polished my husband's tungsten carbide ring and made it shine like new!My husband's tungsten wedding ring looked dull and cloudy after wearing it daily for 5 years. He was very disappointed that it looked so cheap. He tried cleaning the ring with several products but found that it needed to be polished. Like many other reviews have said, he took it to a jeweler who said there was nothing they could do for him. So we bought this product and the cheapest dremel tool we could find and it worked perfectly. This diamond paste is definitely worth purchasing if you need to polish a tungsten carbide ring!

I purchase a tungsten carbide wedding band about 4 years ago and they told me it would never tarnish, scratch or wear at all. Well I have managed to do the impossible and my ring has become very dull looking. After taking the ring back to the seller they told me they would not be able to do anything because it was made of tungsten carbide. I kept thinking to myself "if I can mess the ring up, why can't I fix it?". Enter this Diamond Polish. I got the .5 Micro and used it with a cotton or wool tip on a Dremel. I set the speed to medium and went over the ring several times. Be sure to wear gloves because the ring will get hot! After about 10 minutes of working with it my ring looks amazing. I would definitely recommend this if you are trying to shine up a tungsten carbide wedding band.

I have a Tungsten Carbide ring that has blackened finish, after 3 years the finish was changing colors. Kinda looked oxidized, Jeweler told me it had to do with the way the black finish is applied. He thought it may had to do with UV rays? Hmm. But this one has sentimental value more than cash value. So thought what the heck I'll try this polish. Some reviews said it did nothing, others raved. Well I can't say enough good things about it. It polished the ring to a mirror finish and took out the tiny scratches I accumulated over 3 years. Only a tiny amount used on felt Dremel tool tip attatchment. Have plenty to use for quite some time on more items. Yes the original black outside is gone bit WOW what a mirror finish now, Inside of ring still beautiful as day it came. Only I see inside but when I take it off I love the difference in tone color. P.S. this is an un-compensated review. Hope you have as good results as I did.
