I was so sick of struggling to get a new box chalked and never getting lines I could actually see. These work exactly like they should. Dump some chalk in and immediately get clear visible lines. I ordered several for my construction business

I only use tajima chalk lines, I own 3 or 4. Picked this up for doing wall layouts as they get walked on and sometimes need to lasat a few days. This thing is awesome if you want a super thick clean line.

The gears make winding back up a cinch, and the press button release make unwinding even easier. The thicker cord makes a visible and yet crisp snap-line. Presumably the thing uses more chalk, and I am pleased with not having to squint at a thin, faint chalk line.This replaces my grandfather's hand-me-down chalk line that finally had it's last day on the job site. Sad, but I am very impressed with this Tajima. Someone took loving time engineering this, and it shows.

Useful tool when it works, not to the quality ive come to expect from tajima - filled it half ( with tajima dye) to start worked great for the first 5-6 lines, started having issues winding in the line to the point it is now getting stuck/ locking up. Poor quality mechanics

I have the 50 and 100 on the super duper bold. It is almost twice as wide as the bold line. The 100 is about a third bigger box. It is pushing it for your hand and bag. Solid and strong. My bold boxes are a decade old in contractor use.

It has great string that holds chalk well. If your looking precise get the smaller thinner line. This leaves a 1/4 inch line. It's good for snapping out lines.on concrete for saw cutting.

I’ve had a few of the smaller Tajima chalk lines for years and always loved them, I don’t know why I waited so long to get this larger one. I’m a commercial electrician and do a lot of layout for lighting and conduit racks for large areas, this chalkbox holds a ton of chalk and the string is much thicker, for a bolder line on the floor. If you need to snap control lines or layout a large area this is the chalkbox for you. This is a bit pricey for a tool like this, but what l’ve spent on all the cheap sub par boxes over the years I could of bought several of these.

Compared to the Milwaukee 1.5 mm bold this is noticeably thicker and in my opinion holds more chalk. The beast feature is reeling in the line and not getting stuck compared to the Milwaukee. Great product

need to cut ~ 20 foot of the line for the mechanism work good or its allays jam but after that is the best chalk line you can have
