Makes a very clear and sharp line. Very rugged, my personal one lasted for 5 years of daily use before it wore out. I've bought many for my crew and for other carpenters as presents. Everyone loves them. The only thing about them that takes a little getting used to is how much they stretch, about 2x a normal line. But you can pull on the thing till your fingers bleed, I've never broken a line. That's one of the reasons they leave such a clear line, you can pull them so taught.
