Wire Connection

  • Thin red wire: the positive pole of the power supply, which needs to be connected to the positive pole of the power supply within the range of DC 3.5-30V
  • Thin black wire: negative pole of the power supply (it needs to be suspended when the thick black wire is connected to the system to take power)
  • Thick red wire: the positive electrode of the current measurement signal input, and the negative electrode of the power supply part
  • Thick black wire: current measurement signal input negative pole, connected to the negative pole of the device under test

The ammeter is powered by the power supply in the measurement system.

The meter head needs independent power supply, and the power supply range is DC 3.5-30V. When the power supply is connected between the thin red and black wires, the meter head will display 0.0000 (extremely 1 may appear), then you can change the thick black line to the thick The red wire is connected in series to the circuit under test.

The current range of ordinary multimeters is relatively poor in indicators, so when comparing the test, please compare the equipment-be sure to leave enough room for accuracy, otherwise the reliability of the result is not high. Not as accurate as claimed and no apparent way to recalibrate these meters. If there was a way to precision calibrate these meters, they would definitely be 5 stars. If you only need to see a change in current and not absolute accuracy then these meters might be ok.

I got this to measure current when a car is shut off. Wired it in series on the negative battery terminal. It did a great job. Much better than a multimeter. It does take a bit of wiring. I added alligator clips to the big wires and connections to a little power supply on the small wires. It measured an eighth of an amp @ 12V no trouble at all. The measurement was stable at tenths, changed slowly at hundredths, and jumped about on thousandths and ten thousandths. Considering I was measuring what is likely a short circuit someplace I don't find that surprising. Some tape to cover the back and I've got a nice piece of test equipment. A real bargain at the price.

i have compared this meter with two recently calibrated Fluke voltmeters and it all lines up to at least 2 decimal places.

Using this in conjunction with my power supply that only has a 3 digit meter. Now I can measure the actual current draw of a single segment of an LED display.The 3 Amp limit is no problem, as this supply is only rated for the same 3 Amps.

Excellent big readout visible at a great distance.About performance is super accurate in measurements.Excellent Digital display Ammeter, nice performance. . . No issues, No complaiments.We installed carefully avoiding short-circuits and works OK.Very important is taking care when you are wiring this Ammeter because many manufacturers made other similar Digital Panel Voltammeters and they are very similar, but wiring and connecting it may seem the same or be identical, but it is not. . . Since the 1990s onwards I mounted many of those Digital and Analog panel Voltammeter and many times it always changes in some detail or wire positions.((( My My advice is this: ))) Always check your wiring connections 3 times and always choose a low amp load and low voltage to start testing your Digital Panel Voltammeters. . . Then if everything goes OK, with a small marker write the poles in the resistor shunt and put masking tape on the wires and label them as you see fit (if Ammeter requires shunt-resistor) ---.Fast shipping too arriving safely and without harm. We are happy to have another. This is our third Ammeter like that".We surely continuing buying more of those Ammeters for its great performance...
