These sticks were for my son…he was excited until they arrived. Lighter than any stick I’ve ever used. Played with them for less than 5 minutes and already damaged. These are a huge disappointment. NOT maple and definitely not “hard maple”. These are not fit for drumming of any sort. Most likely poplar or pine. Huge RIP-OFF. Complete scam.

So I play in a goofy cover band where my character will often beat on a cowbell that's secured on a stand with a cymbal. I mean I beat it cartoonishly hard. The band flippin' hates it, because it bleeds through their IEM, even though my rhythm is impeccable! The nerve! Anyway, I bought these sticks with very low expectations due to their price, but after playing a show where I was trying to break one (just to see their limit), I was impressed with how well they held up - it didn't break! Of course, now I've jinxed myself and I'll probably break all of them at the next gig.

At the end of the school year, my kindergarten class has a lot of theme days; one of the theme days is, "Being a Drummer." We learn how to hold drumsticks, make a book a drumhead, and practice drumming patterns, syllables, and our own songs all day. Kids loved the drumsticks! In 20 years, I know of only one complaint; some students join the band as drummers in third grade.

After a month of regular use, I’ve broken about half of them. Good thing is they feel good in the hands and are a little lighter in weight than I’m used to.Breaking sticks at a gig looks cool so if you don’t mind splitting a few or are on a budget these work out! Will probably buy em again
