The Vater brand was officially established in November of 1991, but the Vater family history with drumsticks started decades earlier, in the basement of boston's legendary Jack's drum Shop. There, Alan and Ron's grandfather jack Adams, hand turned drumsticks for the drummers like Buddy rich as early as 1956. In the early to mid 1980's, the Vater Brothers began producing private-label drumsticks alongside sticks for Vic Firth and Zildjian. A few years of this LED to the brothers deciding to move their business to a new factory in Holbrook mA. Over the past decade, the Vater family and product line has expanded greatly, introducing innovative products such as the splash stick and acoustic, and welcoming renowned drummers like Chad Smith, Stewart Copeland, and Josh freeze. At Vater, our goal is simple. . . To produce the very best drumsticks and percussion accessories in the world.

In my point of view I think the are overall the best to use on a e-kit. I play music and games with my e-kit. I wouldn't say I'm a expert, I'm actually maybe just a novice in real music but I do play expert on games. So far the weight, feel and quality is 10/10. Has a great bounce, no reverbe. Is heavy enough to do most of the work but not too heavy to switch pads. I figured it would just be good for roll ons but no I like it all around, and I've tried over 20 different ones. If I want actually trying to try most sets, I'd stop right here. Do recommend. Worth the cost, I'd pay more even.

They are light hay colored and I like that. Alot. I also like that they say Los Angeles on them. I was born there and wish my family hadn't moved me away when i was 10. I also like that they (the stix) have white plastic nubs at the ends. They look good and have less chance of fraying the weave of my electric drum kit drum surfaces. That is good because i had to call and ask for replacements when mine frayed, due to (i think but am not sure) the rough edged divots in one of the wooden tips of my former stix. I now bonk and bang on my e-kit without as much worry, although i wonder if I can and should get much lighter weight stix. That is because i have a nervous system that is very wary due to the genes and conditioning in my particular case.Anyways, here to you and yours.🤘

When i bought my drumset i decided not to use what came with set (one piece of wood and usually not a high quality) i found these sticks and i am happy i bough them. the nylon tip acts differently than a wood one. it is like you feel the stick better when you drum.

I'm a relatively new drummer with a Roland TD-1K electronic kit, so the only other sticks I have experience with are Vic Firth, and while I like the Vics, I like the Vaters more. They feel thicker and sturdier, which I can't exactly explain because they're almost the same dimensions and weight as the Vic Firth 5AN. The primary difference is that the taper on the Vaters starts about half an inch higher up the shaft and doesn't go as thin as the Vics, and the head is larger. This slight bit of extra weight at the head lets the stick do more work for me without me having to put effort into hitting the drum head.Plus they're made in the US, and I buy American whenever I can.

Can't do better than Vater. The perfect length and weight for me, and they last forever. I am a pretty hard hitter, but these simply will not break! I probably won't ever buy another brand of sticks again. One pair I bought broke within a minute of playing, but I emailed Vater customer service and they sent me two pairs of sticks for free. Amazing company, amazing sticks.
