Bought this to drill 16 holes, each 1/2" diameter in a galvanized steel trailer toungue approximately 3/16" thick. It worked better than I had hoped. The last hole went as quickly as the first. excellent bit

It isn't perfect but I find it much better than the older style that only has two cutting surfaces. Compared to the old style I would give it 4.5 stars if that were possible.

Drilled out old broken bolts on wood splitter wingg with this. Once it bits ate right through steel bolts but worked too good took out threads too. Didn't stop in time. Re made threads with tool and die kit.

Before purchasing.. I broke several other drill bits trying to drill holes into an aluminum fence post .... I managed to get only 1.5 holes done before giving up! Ordered this drill bit ... got all my holes drilled in a fraction of the time I spent trying to drill the 1.5 holes from the day before! Definitely a good purchase!
