This works great! Did exactly what I needed it to (drill through a window well for a basement pump). Very happy with the product!

After minimum uses the shank spun clean off inside my Milwaukee 18v fuel impact drill. Bit was working good with clean holes then just broke with no warning.

Tried using this to cut a lamp hole into the base of an old coffee creamer can (was going to make a luminary out of it for Christmas decoration) but once I got past about the third step it just couldn't make the cut. I was pressing harder and harder and various speeds and it just wasn't cutting. Eventually, the base of the can started to deform.Might work better -- unintuitively enough -- on thin sheet metal like the electrical panels it's usually bought for, but one would think 1/4-inch-thick soft plastic wouldn't be a problem.

I was Able to enlarge 11 of 12 holes For speed bag mounting brackets. These brackets are approximately 1/8 inch thick. So the bit did a lot better than I thought it would. I am quite sure Lighter material would not render it useless nearly as quickly.
