Construct Pro Speedy’Z Spring-Lock Cable Pass Through Port | 2” Diameter | White
All of the benefits of standard cable ports with very little of the work (and none of the commitment). The Speedy’Z is a cable port pass through with a flexible grommet, and spring locks that hold the port in place. It’s so easy to install – all you’ll need is a hole saw. You might want to stock up; the Speedy’Z just might replace all of your other in-wall cable solutions!
Speedy’Z
In the past, to install a cable pass through you would need (at minimum): a wall plate, and port insert, a hole saw, a screwdriver, and the hardware to secure everything. Now, all you need is the Speedy’Z and a hole saw. The Speedy’Z is incredibly versatile and ideal for wall mounted televisions, box speakers, sound bars, and wireless access devices mounted in ceilings. Get the clean look you want, with all the speed you need!
Speedy Installation
True to its name, the Speedy’Z is incredibly easy and speedy to install. Simply cut a 2.5” (64mm) diameter hole with a hole saw, then fold down the spring locks and insert the port. Once in place, the spring locks will automatically release and the port will be held securely in place. If needed, the port can also be removed by disengaging the spring locks.
Construction
The Speedy’Z design features an ultra low-profile with a sturdy frame as well as a flexible rubber grommet. The grommet’s inner diameter of 2” to accommodate bulk cables and allow for easy and speedy cable passage through walls. This grommet conforms to the cables, effectively prevents any dust or debris from entering through the hole, and provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance. To top it all off, the Speedy’Z is paintable!

This is exactly what I needed to drop a power cable down for a security camera. It was easy to secure and looks finished/great. This cover is of good quality!

I used one of these to clean up some cables which need to pass through a wall for a security system. It looks much better than the "hole version 1.0", and I think it should provide better sealing too. However there are gaps in the rubber "seal" which are necessary for the wires to pass though, and leave enough room for bugs to enter. I packed the backside of the pass through with insulation which will help, but also plan to further seal the wire entry point to block the critters too. I think of the available options, these are a pretty good, and simple to install, way to tidy up a wire entry through drywall.

Using this to run Ethernet from a bedroom to the attic. Eventually I might add more drops as this room has a switch in it, but for now just the one. It installed fine and looks great, despite me tearing a bit of the drywall paper as I drilled it from the attic. Oh well.

This was so easy to install in a ceiling panel. Looks good and wife approved. No more extension cords on the floor.

Overall, this is a good device and a quick and easy cable pass through hole. Very easy to install, and works with various drywall thicknesses. The gasket helps make it look even cleaner. However, as you are passing cables through it, the gasket very easily pops out of the frame. It is also easy to put back into place, but it's a little annoying that it falls out so easily.

I have a powered cable signal booster in my attic and every time the power blinks off, even momentarily, we would lose TV and internet connections even though the modem and cable boxes are connected to UPS units. I wanted to put that booster on a battery back-up too, but it gets too hot for lead acid batteries in the attic. This provided the perfect solution. I mounted the UPS high on the wall in my garage and used this grommet to route cables through the ceiling. Easy install using a 2.5 inch hole saw. The opening was large enough to accommodate the angled 3 prong plug on the UPS. though it did drag the little rubber insert out at first. Fairly easy to pop back in and I think it looks pretty good.

I love this little "gadget". It does exactly what you need it to do. I cut a 2 1/2" circular hole through my sheet rock wall with my drill (I have the saw attachment) and installed the first one there with the strong spring clips that hold it in place! I put the coax cable and Ethernet connection wires through my bedroom wall and passed them through the living room wall on the other side. I then pulled the wires through and connected them to my Router and Modem, ran them through the second "pass-through" and Voila! A solid, finished look for the wires and the job was done. Now I can stream anything right through the wall! I also used an "L" shaped connector for the cable connection in the bedroom so I could angle the coax cable in any direction I needed. A wonderful self-fix at a fraction of the cost the Internet/Cable company would have charged me! You CAN do this and at little cost as well as little time & effort!

I've purchased 3 of these spring-loaded wall grommets/cable pass-thru's and have used them for two different TV installs and also for my home office with my PC. This grommet does what it's designed to do and looks fine but is severely overpriced for what you're getting, which is my primary complaint.►Deficient rubber/silicone ring material:Aside from my issue with the price, the rubber or silicone material used for the inner part where the cables pass through isn't durable at all. On two of the grommets I've used the inner material has torn completely through. The material can be rotated and is still usable but definitely not rugged at all.► Installation:Installing this grommet is super easy. I have an adjustable, rotating drywall saw that attaches to my cordless drill and just set that to bore a 2.25" diameter hole. After that just a bit of drywall dust clean up and snap the cable pass-through port into place.►Pros:+ Looks good+ Cables pass thru the grommet easily+ Simple to install►Cons:- Expensive- Inner material is cheap and tears easily, especially if you have a lot of cables to run
