ABOUT SOG Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified US special ops unit - known as MACV-SOG - carried a unique combat knife into the jungle on covert missions. Years later, in 1986, that knife inspired a young designer, named Spencer Frazer, to found SOG Specialty Knives. What began as a single commemorative model soon became a full line of innovative tools - field-proven by US Special Forces, even honored as the Navy SEAL knife of choice. Today, SOG knives are carried with confidence into the most demanding situations. Forged out of tradition, hardened in the field, honed for you.

Knife feels incredibly solid in your hand. Good weight to it. Blade opens and positively locks in place in a very smooth manner. The body of the knife is nicely textured and feels secure in the hand. Comes with a clip that makes it perfect for carry in the pocket of your pants or through MOLLE gear on a vest. This is the second SOG knife I have owned. Probably not the last. Good solid knives. Really happy with my purchase.

Just buy it. SOG makes a great blade. They always have. Yes this is not made in the US, but if you're on Amazon shopping for knives... You probably don't care about that much.I have had my original Terminus for 3 years. I've beat the absolute hell out of it. I carry a blade daily, my go to is my Benchmade Griptillian, Civivi Elementium, or this one. What I love about this one is the blade shape, edge retention, grip and action. It feels like it should be a $150 plus knife, but it's ~$40. You cannot beat that.Like I said I carry this one specifically probably 3-4 days a week. The D2 steel holds well and takes an edge well when it's time to sharpen. I've had this knife covered in oil, transmission fluid, all sorts of things, and the grip is still awesome. I just bought this second one for a buddy of mine after he saw mine after all these years. If you're looking for a great EDC I recommend this one or the Civivi Elementium. The SOG has a more aggressive point, which has it's place, but either, especially at this price point would be great. If you lose it, it's not a Benchmade, or Microtec, it's a workhorse.Oh, also the deep clip pocket is pretty great on this. Great retention and low pro. That's a big deal for an EDC. It is heavier than say my BM Bug out but that is because of the metal frame on this and honestly I prefer this knife over the Bug out.

Love the dual sided ambidextrous XR lock/release. I pull the release on both sides and flip my wrist for a one handed automatic like open. Would prefer a hard rubber grip.

I love SOG knives. I got my first one 10 years ago. Only draw back was the belt/ pocket clip. It always stuck out and caught on things or bent. Well it broke and I can't find a replacement. Anyway. I found this for my son to use as his hiking, fishing knife. He helps me clean fish with it and I can still shave my arm with it after several uses. Much better than over hyped and over priced Benchmade that won't hold an edge.

That's my first SOG knife and clearly I can see how good quality this knife is.no wiggle between the blade and the grip and very sharp blade.not a big knife wich makes it perfect for edc.grip also is not slippery at all.

Great knife, looks good and feels good but doesn’t hold an edge well, but you get what you pay for so for the price it’s a good knife
