I don't know why I thought it was going to be a similar knife to the Kershaw Analyst that I have , the only difference being the tip . Now I REALLY like my Analyst and I wanted one about its size with a drop point and serated . When I opened the box a thinner , smaller , lighter knife fell out and man was I stoked . The blade popped around just as snappy and easy and I immediately went to work cutting up the Amazon box to test its sharpness . It wasn't as stupid sharp from the box as the former but very sharp . Instead of just the weight of the knife cutting through I had to put a very slight pressure . No biggie as the steel takes a very nice edge easily . My Analyst is so sharp it practically cuts my thoughts in half . I'm confident this one will accept the same sharpness and because of its extra lightness and shorter overall length may always need a slight amount of effort .The balance is on pay with its bigger brother and it's a good looking knife . Grip is a little less but that's because I have big hands and it's a very small knife . I'm confident it won't be a problem of safety just comfort while cutting .I like the ability to switch the pocket clip over as well , though it isn't a 4 way like the bigger one . From The box it's exactly what I wanted so no need to change anything .If you want a high quality knife that's light enough where you won't notice in pocket , even with sweats or lounge pants on , this knife will blow you away with what you get for its low low price .

Good chocie if you're looking for a tiny knife at a good price. I have smallish hands and it's a bit too undersized for me, but it's better than nothing. The speedsafe mechanism is snappy and works well.

Very well made. Perfect pocket knife- nearly weightless and quite sturdy with excellent fit and finish. I paid 200 dollars plus for a very similar small auto Benchmade about 20 years ago. I would buy 10 of these before I'd buy another very high quality but very expensive folding knife. This Kershaw is an excellent value. The blade snaps out quickly and the fit and finish are fantastic, for such a reasonable price.

Nice little knife for home or as an EDC. I have a ton of flippers and this one is quite handy and priced well. It’s easy to open, but tight enough that I’m not concerned about opening in my pocket. I’ve used it on boxes and even some whittling. The blade is still sharp! If you have large hands you may not like the size. I think it’s perfect for small to medium hands and grips well.

This is an unbeatable knife for the price! Also, this knife has me singing, "look at the flick of the wrist!'. Insanely addicting to open. The spring mechanism is extremely smooth. Feels like a solid product and is really slim but sturdy. The knife is really sharp. It will cut... Great for EDC! This knife exceeded my expectations. It is sleek, feels nice in the hand, and isn't bulky.

I really like the design of this knife, it's sleek and modern. However, it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be - that's entirely my fault, I should have looked at the blade length description before ordering. I thought it was going to get a full-size knife. Instead, I got a potato peeler/knife for hobbits/people with baby hands. The pictures are deceptive, and the narrow grip makes the blade look a lot larger than it actually is; had it had a full-size grip, it would be apparent how small the blade really was, and placing the knife next to everyday items like quarters would also have shown it's true size. Only costing $13 should have been a dead giveaway that I wasn't getting a full-size Kershaw knife. It's not a bad knife; it's sharp enough, weighs little, there's no wiggle or play to the blade once it's locked into place, and it has an excellent design. It's perfect for light tasks and could make a great lightweight backup knife you can take anywhere (anywhere you can legally take a knife). However, I wouldn't depend on it for heavy-duty jobs; it's only suitable for things like opening boxes, letters, cutting string, etc.I really liked the design, and had it been a full-size knife with a 3.8"-4" blade, it would have been the ideal knife, in my opinion. I will still likely get another knife because I needed a full-size knife; a knife like the Kershaw Grid, Monitor, Helitack, or Iridium probably would have suited me better. It's just another lesson that you should always read the description before buying anything.

The Kershaw Appa Folding Serrated Tactical Pocket Knife is an excellent choice for those seeking a compact, reliable everyday carry (EDC) knife. With a 2.75-inch serrated black blade, it strikes a perfect balance between portability and functionality. The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which provides a good mix of sharpness retention and corrosion resistance, while the serrated edge is ideal for cutting through tougher materials like rope or fabric. One of the standout features of the Appa is its assisted opening mechanism. The knife deploys swiftly and smoothly with just a slight press on the thumb stud, making it easy to access the blade with one hand. The handle is ergonomically designed, offering a secure grip, even in wet or slippery conditions, and its lightweight construction (weighing just 2.6 ounces) ensures it won’t weigh down your pocket. The black-coated handle, made of glass-filled nylon, gives it a tactical, utilitarian look while also providing added durability. The knife is small enough to be discreet, measuring just 4 inches closed, making it perfect for everyday carry without being cumbersome. The locking mechanism keeps the blade secure during use, providing an added layer of safety. Whether you're using it for simple cutting tasks or in more tactical situations, the Kershaw Appa proves to be a versatile, high-performance tool. Overall, this pocket knife offers impressive quality at an affordable price, making it a great addition to anyone's EDC collection.
