WHY NEED A SNELLEN EYE CHART?
The Snellen eye chart is the eye testing chart used by eye care professionals or eye doctors to measure your visual acuity, determining how good is your eye vision. From the result, it can tell how well a person can see without glasses or contacts. Your eye doctor will use the results to find out whether you need them, or to change them. It is an essential tool for student acuity exam (chart reading)
How to use our pocket snellen eye chart?
1. Hold chart 6 feet from eyes in good light.
2. Cover one eye with your hand/eye occluder/spoon or some other items that can cover that eye.
3. Identify the letters on the chart you can comfortably read. Read the letters on that line aloud. Have your assistant stand near the chart and record your accuracy.
4. Continue trying to read the letters from the largest to the smallest.
5. Have your assistant stop you when you fail to correctly identify at least 50% of the letters on the row.
6. Switch to the other eye. Repeat the 5 steps.

Good red color for color block. (I ordered another brand, and the coloring was faded, almost pink.)Good quality, doesn't show scratches. Is slightly reflective but hasn't been a problem.

Had a paper Snellen for years and started to wear to the point of illegibility. This replacement seems more sturdy and I suspect it will last longer. I only wish it had something for illiterate people like my last one.
