Have two of these alarms and we could not be more pleased! One is dedicated to keeping an eye on our elderly parent in bed. The other unit is for when parent is watching TV in family room and we are outdoors gardening, in the barn or mowing. The alarm sound component is portable. We slip it in a pocket or just place it where we're working. We can hear the alarm chime in a pocket over the tractor noise - great for when parent moves or needs our help. We mow about an acre and the unit has no issues covering this area.We use these great little monitors in conjunction with radio wave baby monitors (we never use wifi monitors due to hacking privacy issues). Our elderly parent is monitored while we are going about household chores by day and during the night.Five years of 24/7 use these monitors are still reliable. They are easy on batteries. We've only changed batteries out twice in three years. The unit actually lets you know when the batteries need changing - the alarm starts to sound like a creature from the outer limits. Please note the two alarm sound choices are somewhat sappy, and very loud. That's actually a great feature if you are a sound sleeper or on a tractor. We keep the alarm unit outside our bedroom as it's a bit startling when it goes off. We're ordering a couple more units as spares. We also use the gardening unit to keep an eye on our open (and locked) sliding screen door, just in case a visitor comes there instead of the front door.Unit is simple, low cost, so far completely reliable, no wifi to mess with, no apps, just your ears being alerted if your patient is moving. Kudos to the manufacturer.Highly recommend!

An excellent Gazette for caregiver to Elders. My mother is 93yrs old, she is a case of Senile Dementia/Alzheimer's.I have installed this Gazette near her bed , so whenever she awake and about to leave the bed , this Gazette sounds immediately and makes me alert to help her , otherwise she may fall and can get injured.Even at night if you are sleeping , the beep awakes you and make you alert. This is a must for your loved one's who are quite old and always require help by some one/Caregiver , so that they should not remain unattended.Packing was too good and batteries were already installed.

Very happy with the purchase. This is critical to monitoring the movement of elderly. Sensor is sensitive and the volume control on the receiver side is a 'must' feature. Highly recommended. Now just watching the battery life.

This is perfect for what is needed. It is nice to have the alarm piece to carry around and to not hear it from the room that the motion sensor is in, so as not to startle. The only problem that I have with it is that there is no volume control so at night it is really loud, when I only need it to be loud during the daytime.

Cumple con su función, lo único que le veo no tan bueno es que el sonido del timbre no es regulable y vaya que suena muy fuerte!El sensor funciona muy bien colocándola en el lugar correcto!

PROS: Wakes me up in time to get to Dad's bedside before he gets up and falls.CONS:,Can't let the cats in his room at night, can't really use as a chair alarm, sensor will pick up every move he makes while sitting, anyone who walks by, etc.Dad has dementia, and has become a fall risk when getting up every night without fail to use the bathroom. Needed an alarm to awaken me so I could get to him before he gets out of bed, as he has become increasingly unsteady upon awakening. Cannot teach him to use a night commode for obvious reasons (dementia!)At first, tried another wireless alarm- purchased the combination pack of chair pad/bed pad with wireless remote alarm. The alarm sound itself worked, but would not sound until a FULL FIVE SECONDS AFTER dad moved. Useless!! He could get up and be more than halfway to the bathroom by then, and have already fallen. Back to the drawing board. This is a very basic motion detector, but sensitive, and I have no trouble with the range of the wireless alarm box. I can take it anywhere throughout the house or to a point out in the yard, and still be assured the signal will be received. The wireless alarm unit is great, as the alarm does not sound in the patient's room, potentially startling them and causing a fall, which is what we are trying to prevent. The biggest challenge we had was figuring out placement of the motion sensor box itself; because it IS sensitive, you can't mount it high enough so that it will pick up every little movement, toss or turn of the person in bed, which it absolutely will. The key was to place it on the floor between the bed and the nightstand, facing down the length of the bed, so that as soon as Dad's foot hits the floor, the alarm sounds instantaneously, and I can get to him before he has even stood up. Pushed the bed against the wall so he can get out of bed only on that side. The alarm box has two volume settings, "loud as F" and "the dead shall rise up". Kidding, sort of. Lower setting sounds like an electronic doorbell (ding dong! ding dong!), very loud, wakes me every time, and I really do sleep like the dead. The second setting is an electronic snippet of the William Tell overture, and trust me, you will not need this setting unless you are truly hard of hearing and need a more extended sound. Considering many caregivers out there might truly be, this is a bonus. If you startle easily, avoid the loud setting unless you want to have to be scraped off the ceiling when it does go off!Even if I am awakened a few times a night, I'm still resting easier knowing that I can get to him immediately. I have set up an air bed in the next room over from his for proximity, and this has been working pretty well so far!

got this motion sensor alert system which consists of two devices, namely the motion sensor and the pager. there's an antenna on the motion sensor. you'll probably only have to extend the antenna if you intend to use the pager from a very far away distance. but if you have the motion sensor in a bedroom and the pager in a living room of a typical one-story single-family home, then you may not need to extend the antenna. for our situation, we're putting the motion sensor under a bed and the pager will be in the living room. however, the pager is so very loud. there is no volume control on the pager. to muffle the pager to an acceptable lower level but still audible enough to hear (yet still loud), our pager is going under a cushion in the living room couch. on the pager, depending on what setting that you use, it either sounds off with a musical tone or a tune. you will need three AA batteries for the motion sensor and two AA batteries for the pager. this thing works. and since it only makes a tone (or a tune), it is not jarring like other alarm systems (although this pager is still loud unless if you muffle it). we had one of those alarm alert devices, like those at hospitals, with a string at the end of which is a pin-clip that you attach to someone's shirt, but those don't work if the person unclips it. so, instead got this motion sensor system which is much better and isn't an annoyance to the person (patient) you are monitoring. you may have to adjust where you place the motion sensor to get it to sense the movement of legs/feet by the bed. otherwise, the device seems to work fine. oh, there is a little light below the sensor on the motion sensor device that flashes when the motion sensor senses movement. if you don't want that light to shine at night, then you may want to tape something over it.(fyi, bought this product from Amazon third-party marketplace seller Bed Alarms. they first sent the wrong product because of a clerical error, but they immediately sent out the correct product after my message complaining about the error. they also included a return fedex label. so it was easy to send back the wrong product.)
