This was recommended by Bonny Snowden, colored pencil artist, to gently scratch tiny hairs, whiskers, and details on colored pencil drawings. Being ceramic, it is more gentle than the classic metal craft knife and doesn’t damage the underlying substrate. I like the fact that the blade can be retracted and/or replaced.

Didn’t know what to make of it at first, as I was so used to opening packages with scissors. It cuts well. It just doesn’t feel like a serious tool -- it’s light as a feather. I guess I just need to get used to it.

This little cutter is simply awesome. We bought this as a replacement. We received our first one as a gift, and it quickly became the mail-center tool we never knew we needed. The little ceramic blade is perfect for Amazon packages, mail, clamshell packages, etc., but is very unlikely to cut your skin. You can run the blade across your skin and it doesn't scratch or cut you. It cuts packages like it's sharper than it actually is.When it went missing, we immediately ordered another. It's just that handy and useful. If I lost this one, I'd immediately order another. If you're considering buying this, you won't regret it. Over the course of its life, it never seemed to dull.

Lightweight, easy to use. Very useful. I wish it were neon colored but orange helps keep it in sight.

I bought this because I work in a warehouse and literally cut open thousands of boxes a day. It's brilliant, the blade has two positions, one to cut through thicker cardboard and one for thinner cardboard so the contents aren't damaged. Brilliant that the blades can be replaced too.

This was okay for cutting straight lines but I was hoping it would help messily cut curves without the troubles I have with an exacto knife.

I've been really impressed by this cutter. It really does cut everything you want it to with ease while also not risking cutting my fingers (I actually tried, just to test it). I was worried about the durability of the blade being ceramic, but I haven't had any issues with it at all. It cuts through all manners of tape and packaging like butter and I even now use it to cut my cardboard boxes into smaller pieces so I can fit them in my recycling bin easier (it's also just really satisfying to use so I'm just looking for excuses now). The locking blade works well and I've not had any worries about it slipping while cutting stuff up. The only thing it had difficulty cutting through was a double-layer sturdy cardboard box that my 60 lb. office chair was packaged in, and it was mostly because the cardboard was so thick the blade just wasn't long enough. Aside from that, I've completely ditched my utility knife and I feel much safer opening all manners of packaging, whether boxes or those weird plastic clamshell things that destroys every pair of scissors you own. I got the manually locking retracting blade which I think is the right move; I imagine using the auto-retracting blade would be a lot more frustrating to use. The pen shaped design also means it's just as easy to just keep it handy in a cup on your countertop with some other pens and pencils rather than in a drawer if you so choose.

Utensile essenziale se come me siete soliti ricevere molti pacchi e non volete qualcosa di troppo ingombrante e soprattutto riduce il rischio di tagliarsi. Super consigliato

First: the green cutter is not manual, meaning you can't have the blade out and locked in position. The orange one is the knife you want because that one has the manual positioning (you can lock the blade in place, up to three different positions, including sliding it out of sight). So, order the orange one if you want the ability to lock your blade in place and don't want to hold the button down when cutting a box open.Next: the sharp side of the blade is on the outside of the knife, rather than the inside. So, you're going to be cutting down rather than up. In other words: turn the knife around to use the sharp side. It works fine if you just use the sharp side. This isn't so intuitive as you might think, though, so that's why I point it out as a lot of people are claiming on here the blades are dull. That's not true; you just have to make sure to use the sharp side of the blade.I do really like the design of this little box cutter, pen knife, what have you. It's safer than an X-Acto because I can retract it, but sharp enough for me to get into boxes and cut through cardboard. You do have to make sure you use the sharp side of the blade when cutting, and cut in the angle in line with the blade. Someone said their blade shattered. Never happened with mine. This works great. I'll be getting more in the future, probably, great brand and great product. Just make sure you get the one with the orange button rather than the green button, otherwise you're going to have a bad time.

It's not exceptional. The grip isn't very good as it's a bit bulky and the area of work gets hidden beneath the unbuildy body.

No se le pega el pegamento de las cintas q corta cuando abro empaques!. No tiene el gran filo, pero es perfecto para las cajas q recibo de Amazon, así no maltrato mi navaja Suiza con el pegamento de los empaques q siempre deja residuos.
